The complete lack of QB play was the difference. Hate to say it, but it’s true. With a good QB I think LSU wins. Etling missed multiple opportunities to get the Tigers in scoring position. Like the kid, but he cannot play very well.

The only thing that would have made you happy last night was a win that you didnt even expect to get. This thread makes total sense

Some people realize that there is a process. This is an indicator. I don’t think anyone accepts losing as a good thing.

Georgia last year was also struggling to beat really shitty teams or losing to them and look at them now.

Does this mean there are no excuses for next year or will we wait to see what the minister of propaganda rolls out after the first loss?

Saban went 7-6 in 2007 with a loss to ULM

Saban went 8-4 in 2000 with a loss to UAB

I guess that means he's a shite coach, right?

O isn't Saban but I'm having to use an extreme juxtaposition to explain this to you.

I think its more along the lines of your inability to analyze anything other than a final score.

Well considering this thread has nothing to do with how happy or sad I am about the game, your post doesn't make much sense.

Seriously, get help with that stroke.

It depends on what happens in the off-season. If they keep their juniors and get a great recruiting class, the expectations should be high.

If they have another off-season like they did in 2017 we should pump the brakes a little.

Yeah, my entire argument in this thread has been, "look at the final score."

And they say, I'm dense.

I think a lot of people are happy we haven’t fallen as far as we thought we did after MSU and Troy...everyone was pumping the UF and AU wins as flukes and the teams weren’t that good...

We realize we are still right with Bama, we played them to 10-0 last year and was expecting to get drubbed this year...LSU is still on par with last years team...still only a QB away from being highly successful...we know we are gonna have an OC who will adapt his play calling and not run the same ole offense that was ran with Les...

We have yo have faith that O will recruit and fill the holes he sees...

For fricks sake, last night wasn't even the closest SEC game Alabama played in this season.

Well, LSU was the only team within less than 2 TDs of them going into the 4th quarter. aTm played them pretty good, but aTm scored a TD with less than 20 seconds left in the game. As usual though, LSU has to fix their passing game...

really?

cause you are whining that other people are taking some positives away from a game no one expected to win in the first place.

We lost to Mississippi State by 30 fricking points, no player is worth a 30 point swing.

Besides the injuries to key players, we also had several player ejected in that game and Ed Alexander was injured and had to leave. In fact, we had the bottom of the barrel playing defensive line that game. So the defensive backfield was trying to compensate for the defensive line's lack of depth and were burnt by some simple play action passes for easy touchdowns. None of that would be possible today had we had another chance to play them again. They are not better. They just caught us at the right time. Not to mention that was Key's first game back and he was a mere shell of himself compared to what he was last night. Most of you guys just ignored the injuries to key players and just blamed O for the losses. Nevertheless, once those key players returned to playing again, we went on a three game winning streak and improved each game.

It's always fun when someone on a message board claims the other is "whining" when that person has a different viewpoint.

Lester, just stop.

Also, if you've listened to what some guys in and around the program have said about that game they were expecting Miss St to just roll over. Those guys went into that game cocky as hell and didn't think State would even challenge them. They lost focus big time after beating a really shitty BYU team and the off-season softness didn't help either.
