Anyone that posts something like this probably ought to stay home.
I have never posted on another forum about attending a road game and asking what I should or shouldn't do.
If you want to go, than suck it up and go support your team.

What I've found is any visiting fan that looks for trouble can usually find it. The vast majority of visiting fans don't seem to have any issues.

Went to a Hog game in Death Valley several years ago with 3 Razorback graduates, one of whom was my daughter. I was in Tiger gear and they were in Hog gear. We had a great time. They took the ribbing pre and post game in stride (Tigers won). They were offered at several tailgates to come participate also before and after.

We were at a restaurant after the game. A little girl about 7-8 years old dressed in her purple and gold walked up by our table then turned around and came back. She stared at them for a second and then said, Tiger bait! Then turned and went on her way. We all had a great laugh. They would all go back in a heartbeat.

Moreso than most places, the energy you give is the energy you get.

The vast majority are.

But you have to realize, with a 4.5 million alumni and fan base, and at least 125,000 on campus on fall Saturdays, you can't make a blanket statement like 'are LSU fans friendly.' Most are. A miniscule % are not.

With that many people who all come from vastly different backgrounds, areas, families, locations, ages, etc. - you are bound to encounter a few 'overzealous a-holes.'

IGNORE THEM. They don't represent the overwhelming vast majority of Tiger fans.

You are more likely to see canopies, tailgates, and tents of all colors - reds and golds and whites and purples - all intermingled on campus with visitors partying with locals

1. Yes. When you encounter a screeching Tiger, smile good-naturedly and walk away.
2. Sounds like a plan.
3. The PMAC has a few food trucks outside, but there's also the TAF Pregame inside the PMAC that has nice dinners prepared for sale inside. I'm sure they'll let you in.
4. The frats usually hang around in the middle of the Parade Grounds.
The students wait outside of the Northwest corner - facing Mike's Habitat.
5. You may not need to do that if you are wandering tailgaters - you'll usually be given drinks and food everywhere if you're friendly - especially if you ask 'saaaaaay what is that you're cooking there??' :) lol

Definitely wear your gear and stop by any big tailgate and strike up a conversation. If the food smells good tell them so and enjoy the food and beverages offered to you. Chimes will be busy so be prepared to wait but you can drink while waiting. Your plan actually sounds pretty good.

Good luck and geaux tigers!

I have packed a small wearable cooler and left it in bushes several times before entering TS. I've been fortunate to not have it stolen. We pack a lot of canned beer/seltzers, so it's different than packing liquor and not having to worry about keeping it cold.

I’m the past when being mobile and not locked into a specific tailgate we’ve brought a rolling cooler with a cable lock and left it locked in a discrete place and it was fine. Pretty easy thing.

If you are familiar with the concept of rolling with the punches in boxing, that's how you'll need to be emotionally. Expect people to tease/taunt you. Be cool about it and 100% chance you'll be eating other people's food and drinking their alcohol.

Hey there. I live in NWA and went to LSU. Yes you can wear your hog gear 100%, but you can’t treat LSU fans the way y’all treat us when we come up. The poor sportsmanship and lack of understanding for Razorback fans have led y’all to think Death Valley is scary.

Expect good natured ribbing like “Tiger Bait” and have some generic fun natured comebacks. You do that and you will have a blast.

Usually friendly unless you aren’t or if you are the current starting QB and not Joe Burrow circa 2019 for the LSU football team.

1) Is it Ok to wear our Arkansas gear? We’re very friendly people and polite. Not looking to have stuff thrown at us or attacked. Just wanting to have a great day and enjoy the environment!

You WILL get Tiger Baited.

You will ALSO be offered drink and amazing food.
It's a good natured rivalry leading up to the game.

Your stadium experience and the walk back after depend on how well LSU does and how drunk the fans around you get.

If LSU wins...

Well, just hope LSU wins

But you'll be fine either way. Just don't get your panties in a wad or engage with assholes

Extremely friendly, but you’ll find some a-holes around these parts. TD fans are more knowledgeable about LSU football than most, but have a catastrophe syndrome and can be real pricks.

This right here.! Every fan base has its idiots but you follow this advice and you will more thank likely have a fantastic time. Even while witnessing a pig roast on the field.

Hope you don't have seats near the student section. Stay away from anywhere they congregate.

We’ve mostly been hearing about the DVA tailgate and the usual suspects tailgate and that they’re both welcoming and will let us pay for admission and get some good food and drinks. Not sure of any others or places we should look into.

We tailgate on the Old Front Nine. If we see you walking by we will definitely invite you for some food and drink. That’s something we typically do for visiting fans.
There will not be any badgering, etc. Just adult conversation and fellowship.
We treat visiting fans like we want to be treated when we go to an opponent’s stadium.

Unless you have a paid parking pass around the law school/bookstore area, or you get there early in the morning, parking around Dalrymple will be tough. Can probably still find a spot around the Parker Colosseum area by noon, but you still better plan to be on campus by noon for the first SEC game anyway. You can walk down Highland from Parker. The frat tailgates are at the Parade Grounds mostly, so may want to avoid that area if walking to Chimes. Don't be a dick, and don't get your feelings hurt by people telling you Tigerbait, and you'll be fine. Get a cheap bag cooler from Walmart, or some kind of disposable ice chest if you want to pack around beer all day. My go to if not tailgaiting is a big arse daquiri and a flask in the back pocket. You can always find a coke/sprite and ice at a tailgate somewhere to make more drinks.
