We’ve mostly been hearing about the DVA tailgate and the usual suspects tailgate and that they’re both welcoming and will let us pay for admission and get some good food and drinks. Not sure of any others or places we should look into.

Are LSU fans friendly?

Hello tiger fans. Razorback guy here who was recently relocated to Baton Rouge from Arkansas for business. Going to our first Death Valley experience in a few weeks with some buddies flying in from Dallas. Have been doing a little research on Gameday activities and was hoping for some feedback/suggestions.

1) Is it Ok to wear our Arkansas gear? We’re very friendly people and polite. Not looking to have stuff thrown at us or attacked. Just wanting to have a great day and enjoy the environment!

2) The plan as of now is to go early and find some parking somewhere near Dalrymple. Walk over to the North Campus area and see what Chimes is all about. Then walk through campus and head down to Walk On’s and then back up to the Indian Mounds for the Tiger Walk.

3) Are there food trucks or places to eat around the PMAC? We want some good authentic local food and since we’ll have on hog gear I don’t anticipate much being offered from the local tailgates lol

4) Is there an area usually full of drunk college kids we need to stay away from? I know most campuses have areas like this I usually tell visitors to avoid.

5) We won’t have a tailgate or home-base and will just be casually wandering around all day. Is there anything we should bring to be more prepared? We might pack a rolling cooler with some beers and just toss it before going in the stadium.

We are in our mid-30’s, love college football, and excited to experience Death Valley at night. Appreciate any help!
