Scouts are watching, and they can't be impressed at all by what Key has shown so far this year. I believe his stock has fallen at least 50% or more. He is so over-anxious to make a tackle he forgets his #1 responsibility as OLB....CONTAIN!!! He's been awful at this the last 2 games. The best example (or worst depending on how you look at it)was when Syracuse ran the reverse to his side. Key was so far out of position running inside, the reverse/ball carrier was past him before he knew WTF was happening.

That's fundamental football he learned years ago. But he's trying to do too much to impress instead of playing his responsibilities and is becoming a liability instead of an asset

Yea dude I heard scouts and NFL teams love all those players who skip a year and then go pro.

Oh wait.

He's legitimately 4-5 steps slower than he was last year due to weight. Hopefully he works himself back into some semblance of shape by the end of season

It's cool that you pretend to care about his draft stock

stock hasn't fallen more than a pick or 2. If teams think he's the best pass rusher, he will go extremely early. Key has plenty of time to get into shape and fix whatever is going on.

Dude is straight awful.

He's become a liability out there. Oh wait, we don't have anyone to replace him. Awesome.

Hey will be alright it takes a little while to get back in football shape and knock the rust off. It's not like the NFL where you have some preseason games to work the kinks out on his game and get his legs back underneath him. I suspect we will see the same guy we saw last year here shortly.

As a fan, how can you feel this way?

Player draft stock and placement doesn't mean shite if they aren't an actual LSU player the year prior.

I want our players to be great Tigers, whatever comes next is bonus.

The question is, "does he care"? He's badly out of shape. An in shape Arden Key giving defenses "fits" would be a 1st round pick. That's worth several million $$$$.

He needs to get his arse in shape quickly for his own financial sake.

Well, if you believe it, Key better be concerned.

Go watch Watt with the Texans. He is the best defensive player in the league the last several years and is still huffing and puffing because he is out of football shape. It takes time.

Not unless he loses the weight. He is slow. Like interior lineman slow. And it's been weeks now and it's not looking like he is addressing it.
