Watching LSU play offense, even under a new coordinator, is just simply boring, stale, and most importantly ineffective. Almost every other program has so much more imagination than we do. Most teams call plays with signals and signs in a very fast paced fashion but after every frigging play we huddle and make our QB read "War and Peace" on an armband that is thicker than a phone book. And for the love of all that is holy can we please use the middle of the field in the passing game! No slants, posts, crossing routes! Damn

The offensive scheme wasn't the issue nor was the play calling when Canada was making the calls

The reason LSU's team looks the same, is because it's practically all of the same people from the Miles era. Instead of hiring Orgeron, they should have blew the whole thing up, and let someone new come in and start from scratch.

Canada wanted much more tempo. Orgeron made him slow it down.

Didn't you say the same about all of Miles OCs?
Are you saying Canada is also a multimillion$ puppet?

ETA: Just curious. Is Ensminger or Eaux pulling the strings?

so a defense can give up 48 and lose?
There is absolutely zero wrong wth this pro style of offense if you have the horses that can deliver.

The receivers arent coached well. I bet they can’t get off looking at porn.

Special teams aren’t coached period. They constantly cost points and put the team in bad field position.

Etling set records at QB and the team didn’t turn he ball over.
Geez you dumb fricks.
Both teams yesterday WON WITH ARCHAIC SYSTEMS ACCORDING TO YOUR DEFINITION.
frick dude.

Ok, now that's funny.

What's not funny:

2016 LSU red zone offense ranked 58th; 2017 LSU ranked 101st.

What system would you say the 2 semifinal winners use?

Maybe a field goal chain for the kicker. Every few games they can knock the dust off it and 1 can wear it.

The archaic system that NFL and college coordinators are stealing from?

FWIW, Im on board with getting rid of Canada, but this isn’t a solid point.

This guy gets it (except for the part about Etling. Sure, he didn't throw picks, but he couldn't find receivers, either).

You can't have a point-a-minute offense and still have a great defense. It's almost never been done. The team's identity needs to remain a stout, Top 5 defense, who can overpower other teams with the running game. That's exactly what we did in 2011 and what Bama has done for years. A dominant running game will open up receivers downfield if Brennan or Narcisse develop enough to find them next year.

2015 was 58th
2016 75th
2017 103rd

The further LSU removes itself from toss plays, the worse it gets.

Need a QB that can throw the forward pass and make plays with his feet occasionally. Haven't had that in a loooooooooong time.

cfb is about execution not imagination.

those chip kelly offenses ran the same play 50% of the time. chip kelly's playbook has 4 running plays

college coaches dont have enough on the field practice time to be coming up with some imaginative scheme.

if you watched other programs the way you watched lsun you'd notice their tendencies as well.
