They are 100% making Aranda head coach in waiting without the title
I'm sure it's buried in the contract somewhere.
At $2.5 million per year it would have to be.

Anyone wanting this to burn down is wanting LSU to fail. I repeat, anyone hoping that O fails is wanting LSU to fail. This should serve as reminder to be careful what you wish for.

Remember, most of theses bashers are trolls from other schools.

I hope we see some new terms about him choosing most of his own staff and not having to listen to anything O thinks. And putting Pete out to pasture, if he wants.

Paying Aranda $2.5 million while having a bargain bin head coach is absurd.
I mean if you're gonna pay the DC that much, you should certainly have championship expectations but we're held back by O. 4 year 2.5 million feels like more of a desperation move to compensate for O's lack of coaching skills.
I suppose the point of my bitching is frustration that LSU is going all in on coordinators, rather than its head coach.

No way you really believe this. Orgeron is a bad coach and I'm as big an LSU fan as you'll fine. I hope you bookmark this and throw it in my face for years as well roll to NCs.

There trying to get coach Ogerons learning curve in gear

It’s a backwards model for sure. I’m not sure aranda ever wants to be a head coach. If he does, you have to think he’s in line to be our head guy, especially if O doesn’t cut the mustard.

And incredibly hard to sustain.
Great coordinators come and go. They don't usually make lateral moves but point is, if you've got good coordinators...somebody is going to come after them in one way or another. Stability should lie with the head coach, not the coordinators. Saban/Meyer don't panic if they have coordinators move on. They go and hire a new guy and use their own skills as coaches to maintain great programs.
