Hope he stays, looks like he’s leaving.. bet we find out today.

All that said I for one am very proud of how our boys on D played till the end. They didn’t quit when it would have been very easy for them to and cash in.

Also our secondary was insanely better this year. BBs scheme on the back end with Raymond was elite.

Thanks Baker, wishing you the best with us or at Tulane!

Agree minus his schemes against explosive QBs.

Reminds me of how I felt seeing Aranda leave. Wish he stayed, but glad he got to follow his dreams and reach his goals.

Except he needed to study how LSU defended Johnny Football back in that era. Running QB's roasted us for the last two seasons.

Baker makes 2.5 mill a year.

Tulane was paying Sumrall that as a head coach.

And Lamar Jackson. Couple of mobile, Heisman winning QB's that were shutdown by LSU.

Great, how much is Sumrall making now?

See where this can lead...

I think the 18,000,000 spent on DBU, WORKED! Those are elite Badass athletes and I don't think coaching was the main reason but I don't know GEAUX TIGERS

Yes they were measurably way better.
More PBUs, top 10 in INTs this year..
not sure what else you can as for.

They let some plays happen, but the secondary wasn’t our major issue this year by any stretch.

Has anyone confirmed if Baker is on campus today?

It would be a good sign if he was around LSU and not in NOLA.

We’re 15th in the nation in scoring defense. Imagine if we have an offense that actually stayed on the field a little.

He's not staying. Tulane will up his salary to what they offered Sum which was 4 million+. It's harder to get HC jobs now unless you prove you can handle modern NCAA. If you look at all the hires lately they're basically proven HCs somewhere. Schools are less likely to take risks on coordinators now. He's probably not staying. LSU knows if he's staying or not.

True, Aranda followed his dream to be a HC. But the perfect example of the “Peter Principal” where people rise to their level of respective incompetence. He was a great DC, but he is a not so great HC.
