imo, the legit reason to vote nay is that he didnt graduate from LSU
I also thought this was a requirement (at least it was some time ago). Shaq's was not retired until he completed his coursework.

I think he actually sat down for what he believed in...wink, wink.

You're the one pounding on the keyboard. Get over yourself. Not everyone wants a muslim representing LSU

Yes
He was Chris Jackson here so that is how it should be retired here.

I agree, and I will say it this way. Its not about him not standing for the anthem although that does disgust me. Its level he went to with his hatred for the USA after 9/11. Going out of his way to say there was no way muslims did this. Then defending their actions etc etc. He basically spit on the graves of everyone that died on 9/11. I can't forgive that and I don't want anyone like him associated with LSU.

If we had to analyze what everyone's beliefs are that way, we wouldn't have a team.
Yes, I know it is a little different in that he came out with that info himself.

Chris Jackson = Yay. Great basketball player and very deserving.
Mahmoud Abdul Rauf = nay. This is the man he became after he left LSU and joined the nation of islam. Mahmoud never dribbled a basketball at LSU. I don't agree with him not standing during the national anthem either.
As long as the jersey says Jackson I'm good with it.
