Apologies if German, why the hell is LSUShop selling/promoting Ben Simmons merchandise?

I find it crazy that they don’t even sell any current LSU basketball jerseys. The only basketball jerseys are Shaq jerseys in every color or a Ben Simmons 80s/90s jersey.
LSU basketball has got to be the worst marketed sports team in the country when it comes to merchandise.

I get that weird people like to virtue signal about Ben Simmons like he actually cared while he was here, but let’s not compare him to “everyone else in those pictures” when he’s surrounded by all-time greats like Shaq, Burrow, White, Chase and a bunch of other guys who left it all on the field every time they suited up in P&G.
He couldn’t carry any of their jockstraps and I don’t think he’s said a word about LSU or returned to campus a single time, unlike “everyone else in those pictures”

Why is Boutte the only current player with a jersey for sale? I thought I saw something pre-season about players signing some NIL thing with Nike to sell jerseys.

Funny...One could make the same argument about Chase....
Personally I don't care, they all played for LSU and I enjoyed watching them while they were here.

They're all for sale. If you click on the customize your own option, every player on the team is on the dropdown menu. However, you can no longer put any name/number combo on those jerseys, presumably because of the NIL money players get from jersey sales now
