3 things here:
1-Little Nicky made a phone call
2-I can't think of anything else - WAIT, incoming PSA
3-AP poll is the MSNBC of polls

When are we going to realize this WHOLE MESS is OUR FAULT? WE did this to ourselves and the whole playoff system. Lose ONE LESS GAME and we correct a lot of issues. Learn BK….LEARN…it’s a game of tight margins

If Bama beats a 5 loss team they are in? You guys have lost your minds. There will be an extra B1G team if anything

Fuqq dat right there. Bama is not better than LSU by all that much. Tulane is more deserving....right now. Even more if they beat Memphis next week. I'd take UL before Bama

AP poll should be investigated

There is no way Alabama should be ranked #13 after losing to unranked Oklahoma 24-3

This will ALWAYS happen as long as people continue to use the subjective criteria of "12 best teams" for the playoffs. Apparently, Alabama will always be considered one of the 12 best teams - regardless of their record.

Yep, not only that the BSC computer made sportswriter’s irrelevant, as well, because their biased articles meant nothing.

They (UL) are getting more votes than LSU in the “others receiving votes”.

If South Carolina beats Clemson they should be in over Bama, right?

Uh the other 1/3 rd was computer ranking based on SOS, SOOS, etc and was the one piece that took politics out of it.

Ole Miss should probably be ranked ahead of Bama because of the eye test. I think they’re better. The committee is probably clueless and looks at school names.

The reality is that LSU should be in the Top 20 even with 4 losses.

our Tigers have been struggling the entire season and you think with 4 losses they should be Top 20!! WHY?

USC made our Tigers look slow.
LSU was unprepared for aTm backup QB
LSU was unprepared for buma QB
LSU was unprepared for UF QB

but hey, LSU no longer ranked may be an advantage for the players. an incentive for the players finish strong; maybe.

You want the AP investigated because you don’t agree with their rankings? Who exactly “investigates” the AP?

ULaLa receiving more votes than LSU. Wrap your head around that one! Behind both Sunbelt Billy AND his old team!
Tulane Green Slimers checking in at #18 with a 9-2 record.

Others receiving votes.........

Southwest Louisiana Junior College at Lafayette......7
University of Louisiana State University......3

That's actually pretty damn infuriating

Have you looked at what everyone else has done this year? Beyond the Top 4 in the Big 10, no one has looked good. Illinois is 8-3 after a miracle finish against Rutgers, but they are 0-2 against ranked teams with a loss to unranked Minnesota at home. They also gave up 49 points at home to 1-10 Purdue and barely escaped with a one point win. LSU should be ranked ahead of Illinois.

The Big 12 has several ranked teams, all with questionable credentials. BYU has one win over a ranked opponent (SMU), but lost to 5-6 Kansas. Iowa St had two losses to unranked teams just like LSU, but no wins over currently ranked opponents. They also have 3 wins by a total of 7 points over unranked teams. Arizona St also has 2 losses to unranked opponents and only 1 win over a ranked team (BYU). They also have 5 one score wins over unranked teams, including a 30-23 win over Miss St (winless in the SEC). Colorado has 3 losses to unranked teams and no wins over currently ranked opponents. At best, BYU should be ahead of LSU. None of the others should.

The ACC has Miami and SMU. Beyond that, Clemson has only 2 losses, but Louisville is the only ACC team they have played with a winning record in conference and they lost.

The 7 of the 8 ranked SEC teams with 3 or fewer losses should be ahead of LSU, though Ole Miss is arguable with losses to Kentucky and Florida along with the head-to-head loss to LSU. Missouri has only 3 losses, but they have played a weaker schedule. They lost badly to A&M and Alabama like LSU, but also lost at home to S Carolina, while LSU beat them on the road. LSU had two losses to 6-5 teams, but they also have 2 wins over ranked opponents to 0 for Missouri.

So, in P4, that’s 7-8 SEC teams, 4 Big 10 teams, 2 ACC teams, and maybe 1 Big 12 team. That’s 13-15 teams ahead of LSU. Notre Dame makes it 14-16. I think Boise St is questionable with no P4 wins and 3 one score wins in the MWC, but let’s give the benefit of the doubt and say that’s 15-17 ahead of LSU. No other G5 should be ahead of them. Tulane is 0-2 against unranked P4 teams. Army got blown out by ND, the only team even in the Top 80 they have played. UNLV is 2-1 against P4, but lost to unranked Syracuse. So, that puts LSU at #16-#18, maybe as low as #19 if you ignore the ridiculously easy schedule for Clemson.
