Still getting screwed by the polls. Good thing we can give the polls a big middle finger when the selection show comes on.

Seems like we should have moved up a couple of more spots, but the AP doesn't matter anyway.

Yeah, would have guessed LSU would have been a couple of spots higher... But it's irrelevant.

You go 2-0 this week and you're probably pushing close to top 10

At least they have Wisconsin, Iowa State, and Iowa behind us.
Texas Tech, Louisville, and KSU should be as well.

At this point, it really doesn't matter but I agree.

Louisville too high

They're about even with LSU now so it's a wash

KSU too high

They're probably your Big 12 Champs so they will eventually move up even more.

Three or four of the teams we beat would be ranked if not for their loss to LSU (OM, MSU and Auburn). If Alabama had beaten us and won one additional game they'd probably be ranked too.

Michigan St. is really cashing in on Izzo's history of success, some good early wins and a favorable preseason ranking.

Two weeks ago Mich St. was ranked 6th. They then went on to get thumped by Purdue (final score made the game seem closer than it was), lose at HOME to a very average Indiana team who had lost 7 straight in the Big 10 coming into the game; THEN get beat by a weak Illinois team who at the time was 8 games under .500. Oh, but MSU did beat an average Minnesota team at home on Sat.

For those two weeks of shitty basketball. A period where they go 1-3, MSU drops......5 spots.

THAT'S why you should take these polls with a grain of salt

I wonder if losing to Houston is better than winning, eye test wise. Houston at 23-1 is ranked higher than they’d be with that loss at home to LSU, being in the conference they’re in, much less margin for error.

Beat Kentucky and everyone sees us as borderline 3-4.
Beat Tennessee and then we're talking 2 seed.

Long ways to go...

We need a signature win. We have that opportunity twice before the next poll. Even if we split the games i say we move up 3-4 spots. Win both, we are knocking on top 10.
