Anytime we play Auburn in anything, I can’t get these two images out of my head

1- The game we lost when I think we blocked a field goal, but they called our guy for landing on the back of our own player and did a redo

2- The game we lost when there was a pass to a running back in the flat. He took two steps, and they stripped the ball for a fumble and it went out of bounds for a first down, but they called it back.

Honorable mention: Same game, where there was the long pass down the middle, and I think they hit the receiver and didnt call interferencee or interference play, saying though the ball had been touched on the way to him

My memory is fading about the actual games, but those three players are still there

ETA: I know it’s not football season, but can’t help it

And then there’s the earthquake game and the fire game and the less miles clock game, the series is always so awesome

Guess you’re too young to remember the interception game, but it hurt for a long time. The burning dorm game was interesting.

Number 2 and the honorable mention were the same game. At Auburn in 2006.

The RB was Hester. Later in the game there was an egregious PI where a flag was thrown and then picked up because the ball was tipped well after the PI started.

Bad calls, but LSU had no business only scoring 3 points in that game regardless. Top pick at QB, 2 first round WRs and talent all over the field. That team likely wins the NC if they win that game.

2006. It was the second-worst call of the day; non-call PI in the endzone. My memory is fading. I was there in Auburn, but hammered out of my mind. They threw a PI flag late in the game, but waved it off, saying the ball was touched. But there was defensive holding.

It never gets old watching Hester absolutely stone the blitzing linebacker.

Curly Hallman and Lynn Amedee - LSU OC should have been fired on the spot and walked back to Baton Rouge

2006 AU vs LSU. Most heartbreaking loss of my youth. That was a championship team that lost 2 games it should have won that year.

That was my one game that year. So clutch but also bad clock management. He had no idea.
