I agree. I edited my post to clarify I was talking about the threads from preseason talking about the catcher position. I was on that was on the Milazzo will get more playing time because of defense. Neal is far better defensively than I expected.

Why is this thread created every time he gets a hit off high school level pitching?

He has had 3 years to prove he can hit high level pitching, he can’t. I’m not knocking him but it’s facts. He’s a backup catcher

In his defense, some improvement happened because he wasn't really hitting not high level pitching well in the past. So he has made some improvement offensively that I don't think he would be a complete black hole in the lineup.

Milazzo is 1 for 5 (.200) against SEC pitching and also 0 for 1 against Iowa for a total of 1 for 6 against major conference pitching (no at bats against Texas or K State). That is still below the Mendoza Line (sub .200). On the bright side he is 9 of 19 against the scrub teams.

ETA: Also has 2 Ks in the 6 ABs against major college pitching (33.33%)

Game log is in the Stats tab on his LSU bio page LSU Bio - Alex Milazzo

Milazzo doesn’t hit that HR but he also doesn’t allow the passed ball run to score either

Neal doesn't make snap throws to uncovered bases.

Forget who was pitching the other night but it looked like milazzo had never caught him before. He was struggling

I think one advantage, although perhaps not a big deal, is Milazzo catching late innings means he is catching many different pitchers that aren't front line starters and the game may be tight... so his defensive + could be counted on more.. ( pinch hit travenki if necessary)

I think Jay has done a great job managing the catching position

Fun fact. Milazzo has as many RBIs as Neal.

as much as i will get shite for it, i am always fair and Milazzo has exceeded my expectations as a hitter, but he is still hitting very, very poor quality pitching

The ole I was wrong, but really I wasn't wrong routine. Classic LE.

No Milazzo has a role and it’s week days and late inning work when we are up big or down big.

Pretty sure OP is talking about starts.

How many games has he started in 2023? I’ll hang up and listen. Dumbass.

I’ll even help you out LSUSports.netForRetards

I wasn't replying to the OP though. I was replying to you, who said factually incorrect statements.

Milazzo has played in 23 of 25 games. Not just midweeks, and when we are up or down big. Nowhere did I mention starts.

Nothing I said was incorrect. Good try. Stick to the home and garden board loser.
