I didn't see a foul on half the fouls called on LSU. Once again LSU gets mugged under the goal, especially O'Bryant, but very few calls on Ky. OK, I am a little biased, but it looks obvious to me.

honestly, not really. there were questionable calls on both sides of the court. It may seem like some went the other way instead of ours, but that really happens in all sports.
The officiating is not the reason we lost today. It had more to do with us having no answer for their offense in the paint.

Absolutely. It is a scientific fact that if LSU is involved in an officiated game, they will always get screwed by the refs.

Honestly thought we should have tried more zone in the 2nd half

Also, I think if the team had played with the same intensity in the first half as they did in the 2nd half, the outcome would have been much different.

But I believe most who are realistic understand that going into Rupp Arena most calls by the refs will likely go against you. Playing basketball at Lexington, Kentucky = playing football at Tuscaloosa or Auburn, in terms of officials calls.

What about the non-call at the end where KY had 6 on the floor. That should have been a technical. Why wasn't that reviewed? Everything else is. Could have made a big difference.

Hickey or Stringer got pushed into the crowd late in the game as they were trying to get free - no call.

No LSU didnt get screwed by the refs. In fact, I thought the one ref that had the red arse at Calipari in the first half gave us a few calls...most notably when Tuba blocked the shot and it was called off the UK guy.

I think Blanton said it well in an interview I heard him in either Thursday or yesterday. When you play on the road in the SEC you have to expect you won't get all the calls and play through it and play with that edge.

And that goes double at Rupp when 24K fans bitch and whine loudly at any call that doesn't go their way.

And we did that today. Now let's start doing that against teams we are supposed to beat.

For instance, that Flagrant 1 called on the KY player. There is no way that was a flagrant foul but it went our way.

Sure close games & can't get the job done lets blame the refs. Better be thankful the refs didn't call some of those fouls against ATM if you wanna play that card or LSU may still be o fer

I don't know about being screwed by the refs but KY employed the run uncontrollably through the lane and wait for the whistle strategy. shite was pissing me off.

There were a couple of questionable calls both ways, but in the first half every bounce, every roll, every break went kentuckys way. Props to our guys for never giving up and coming back on those assholes. Sign of great character and pride. They respect their coach and teamates, gotta like that!
