Let's just hope he is/will be better than Randall...Cunningham (who he reminds me of) that is. We've seen so little of JJ that it is impossible to make any kind of realistic evaluation of what he will ultimately mean to LSU. All of our qb's are young and promising. Only time will tell. Geaux.

Yes. The triple option was a media hyped joke. The ACC has been subpar for a while.

Yellow Jackets 45-42 Bulldogs
Tigers 38-52 Bulldogs

right they were a joke

The triple option is nothing new. All it takes is speedy guys on defense and disciplined gap coverage and it's stopped. If the D guys are faster than the O guys then the triple option is not effective.

Maybe Richt isn't all he's cracked up to be or maybe UGA didn't have the time to gameplan for it, but the proof was in the final score of the chick fil a bowl.

Any Michigan man would know how to stop the triple option.

WTF does this have to do with JJ anyway? He didn't have as much to do with that win as the defense did.

they were a joke..and we exposed them as the one trick poney that they were.
yeah, yeah..I know we had a month to prepare...but so did they and we nailed their worthless, overrated, arrogant, media-hyped butts to the floor of the dome.
I feel better now.

Somebody put up the bat signal?

Dude, his performance was good in the Chic Bowl. Nothing more nothing less. It proves nothing in the way of a career.

similar stats at this point in their careers, but i think Jefferson will be more like Matt Flynn.
I agree with the guy who said Herb. But only as far as tools go.

I think Matt succeeded thanks to a freakishly clear headed composure and icy coolness, rather than anything exceptional as far as talent goes.

JJ has special tools. He's fast, rocket-armed, and has shown decent vision downfield. He's cooler headed than Lee, but not in the same hemisphere as Flynn. He has far superior physical tools than Flynn (Even though Flynn had a much stronger arm than people gave him credit for).

To compare them to RB's:

Flynn = Hester
JJ = K-Dub

Not even close. Jefferson is a QB, Randall was not.

and you are making this assessment after basically 2-1/2 games in his a career ?? i don't recall him doing much in the second half of the arky game or the chick-fil-a bowl either .... you might wanna let a few games go by this season before you annoint this kid as the second coming ... i would like to see him put together a solid 60 minutes in a row first ..

Yeah that 274 yards per game rushing was subpar.....the boys could run the football!!!!

It just so happen they met a team pissed off and backed into a corner.....

GT 2008 was in the top 10 in the NCAA rushing the football.........That doesn't happen by accident.

so JJ will have a few short stints at starting, and when someone takes his place Maximus will blame Les' affinity for having his assistants prepare ribs and brisket?

No. I was talking about the tools they bring to their position.

I already said, basically, that JJ will be a Herb Tyler +10.
