Went in 2010, stayed in RV park across the street from the stadium. Pretty fun weekend except for the game itself (UGA got worked like a cheap hooker). The one thing that will always stick out to me about that stadium is that it's like watching a game on the sun. It was so, so hot that day.

I'm going this year. First trip to Columbia. We are flying in on Friday and staying about a mile from campus. I'm really looking forward to it. It's one of the last stops on my list of SEC trips to make.

Good tailgating, mostly friendly, amicable fans. Weird spaceship-like stadium. Had a great time at the local bars.
Overall good experience!!!

Yea how is the bar scene over there?

I went in 2003. LSU kicked butt and I'll probably never go back. Canceled this year's trip.
In my mind, they're still an "SEC want-to-be". The need for Sandstorm says it all.
One thing no one ever talks about is the fact that their stadium is a mile or two off of campus. Sorta in the middle of a railroad yard. Was not impressed.

Went last year and loved it. You must go to Charleston as well.

Been several times. Decent stadium. Crowd's generally cordial.
You might get to meet George Rogers. He's usually there raising money for charity by taking pictures with him and his Heisman.

My exact experience as well. To their credit, the bars didn't run out of beer (like UW), but by the middle of the afternoon, every port-a-let I hit was about to overflow. Maybe they stocked too much beer?
Seats through LSU sucked, although that isn't all that unusual. Middle of the road experience. Fans pleasant, zero a-holes encountered, which automatically puts it above the Gump and Gaytor experience

Planning of going on October 10, 2015.
The official USC website still lists TBA for game time.
Anybody has "insider" information on the game time for this year?

I'm going this year. Really hope that it's a night game at USCe. But I'm not getting my hopes up.

I'm going as well, the game time won't be announced for a while. No inside info, but if I had to guess, I'd say it'll be a night game, 7:00 Eastern or later. Georgia/Tennessee is probably the best candidate for the 3:30 CBS slot that week. Other SEC games are Florida/Mizzou (guessing this will be noon ET), Arkansas/Bama (another night slot), and the Mississippi schools against scrubs.

Yes. One of the better SEC trips. We spend a night in Savannah then a couple of nights in Charleston first.
That's how it's done

How is the game atmosphere at Wolf Den Stadium?
Posted on 8/10/15 at 12:42 pm to Icansee4miles
Everyone's experience is different. Tailgating spots were not good, traffic and parking overall with State Fair going on next door was bad, no bathroom facilities near tailgate spot, and 7 or 8 drunk fans cursing us out before the game. Meh experience. Will not be back.

Strange responses in this thread. A lot of people describing a pretty shitty experience and then finishing their post with "It was a great trip I would definitely go back."

Yes, went 2002-03. The year we held then to like 5 yards rushing.
Is there anything specific you want to know, I also lived in Columbia for 4 years?
