Anyone else think LSU rallies for 7 or 8 wins?

I have this feeling that the Tigers will rally a la 2017.
That season they got clobbered by Miss St, struggled against Syracuse and then lost to Troy.
I remember the same talk about not seeing 5 wins on the schedule. Then LSU upset Florida on the road, beat a good Auburn team, and ended up beating Ark, Tenn, Ole Miss and aTm rather handily, winning 9 and nearly beating a good ND team in the Citrus. Likewise I’m not sure many had LSU ending last season with wins at Florida and vs Ole Miss.
I think Ark, Ole Miss and aTm are better than the ‘17 teams, But it’s not totally out of the realm of possibility that LSU “could” beat C Mich, Ark, Miss St, Ole Miss, and aTm (not impressed). I’d think beating Bama, Florida and Auburn(?) might be too much to ask.
One thing I have seen Coach O do well is rally the troops when their backs are against the wall. Regardless of what happens I don’t see O as the coach to build a program with a solid foundation and consistency. I absolutely don’t think the current environment of NIL is something he’ll be able to keep up with, though I realize there are others spearheading NIL, I would like a coach in place who can manage the big picture. I appreciate 2019, but I absolutely think that was a perfect storm that is extremely unlikely to be replicated.
Naturally as an LSU fan I’ll pull for the Tigers to win every game. And at the end of the day things don’t look promising. But somehow I expect a rally from this team.

I'm with you, I'm usually bearish, but I have a weird hunch we turn this thing around for whatever reason.

7 or 8 wins still gets O fired so I'm cool with it

No. Our O-line is an all-time horrible line and it looks like the rest of the SEC west has improved. Kentucky is better as well, so there are no easy wins anywhere on this schedule.

Not a fricking chance. Aranda was still DEfensive coordinator in 2017 and while our playcalling was shite our OLine could actually kind of block.

I'd like to see it too, but I don't think they have the coaching to do it.
They gave up 37 to Miss St that year & then the most they gave up the rest of the year was 26. Aranda got the defense in line after that Miss St/Troy stretch.
I think the least we give up in SEC this year might be 26.. exceptions for CMU & ULM.

If we destroy CMU (hint: we won't) and beat MSU by 10+ (hint: we won't), then maybe.

No one thinks they can.
But we should all hope they can…
One way or another I can’t see a scenario of us keeping Oregon.

Please, name the next 6-7 wins
OM & Alabama will both win by 28+
Kentucky will out physical LSU
Aub will do the same
Fla, haven’t watched them play, no clue

Not thinking that today; try back tomorrow...

I think we could rally and have a winning season (7-5) in a best case scenario kinda way

I think we still have a good season ahead of us. I'm always going to believe in the Tigers until the clock hits 00:00. This is a very young team with new coordinators, and both of those factors historically lead to teams that start off poorly and get better as the season wears on. I can see us scraping by in a couple of tough ones over the next few weeks and then clicking as young guys find their footing and the playcalling sharpens up.
No matter what, I plan on eating some great food every Saturday and cheering for my Tigers. It's football season, and I'm too happy about that to be miserable about the games we haven't even played yet. :)
