There were not 13 dropped passes, be fair to the receivers and there were some good catches

He's apparently quite solid in recruiting WR talent and placating all the NOLA high school coaches. Brady departs and the drops arrive. That's no coincidence.

I hope it’s coincidence but we did go from worst to first in drops last year and back to worst after 2 games this year.

I didn't make those numbers up. They come from the official stats (targets minus catches).

An uncaught pass is not the same as a drop.

Terrace Marshall had lapses with hands last year too. Lots of double catches and body catches too.

Yeah I'm Pretty sure Brady took the Jugs machine with him when he left.

Last year according to PFF our team drop rate was just 5% of catchable targets, best in conference. Worst in conference was Arkansas at 14%.

Through 2 games this season we are at 8 drops in 58 catchable targets for a 13.8% drop rate.

Marshall should be ashamed. Drops kill drives.

Think how Brennan's stats would have looked if even half of those had been caught.

So you are saying Myles should have been 36-37 passing?

Lol

Was his Interception the only incomplete pass?

I don’t know where you people come from

I'm sure it's probably worst in conference but how does this compare to everyone else?

And there are prob 8 layup passes Myles has missed, too. That is a lot of yards left on the field

New QB, new starters, no spring, big WR rotation . . .
I'm guessing these all play a part in comparison to last season. Regardless, this needs to be cleaned up. MB also needs to clean up his mechanics because he's throwing off his back foot and the ball is sailing on him and it makes for a more difficult catch. Burrow threw a very "catchable ball" because his timing and accuracy was so good. I think MB can get there with more reps and time.

Drops are always on the receiver, however the QB plays a big part in this. Catchable balls are the biggest thing. Velocity, target location all matter. Burrow throws the most catchable ball bc he knows he when he needs and doesn't need velocity. Plus he's very accurate. You can't throw it as hard as you can on a 5 yard route and expect a high catch rate.
