I don't love 4th and Aranda. He needs to go back to 5 and 6 man blitz packages, and get out of that damn rush 3 and drop 8 disaster. Do you remember Chavis??? The only thing the "prevent" defense does is prevent you from winning. Texas A&M was a disgrace.

Are you referring to me? Because I'm not complaining, other than not having great NT's and legit 3-4 ends (fehoko and Lawrence are good but aren't elite) and that's the problem, because they lose gap containment fast(dont need to double on nose)and o-line gets to lb'ers quick and causes big gaps for rb. Seen this way too much this year.

I think most are conflating a 3-4 with a 3 man rush.

yep, people dont get it... 3-4 is the only way to go now because its so multiple, thats why the NFL runs it, and we should too... Where LSU hurts is the DL, that NT better be 330 at least and Both Ends have to be 300lbs... Fehoko is an end in a 3-4 not a NT.. Even Lawrence (Best DL we have) is a little undersized.. and hes a stud against the run...(Which is what you want in the DL...
its not really a choice anymore, you have to run the 3-4 because its so multiple, you can do anything with it.. but the 3 lineman and two middle LBs better have some beef... None of those 5 should be under 240.

yall are forgetting that the man lost his top pass rusher this year... damn, the man did all he could do with what he had and basically the entire game resting on his shoulders... shite...
hell the whole OT game was played with 7-8 starters out and everyone gassed and yall on here blaming him... its ridiculous... anyone with a brain knew we were going to struggle TAMU game because we lost fulton... hes the other lock down corner you need to send the extra man on blitzes, you didnt have him so you cant bring as much pressure. and like i said losing Chaisson was huge!!! imagine haveing a pass rush with just 4, no imagine sending 6!... He did a fantastic job with what he had.. Cant stand it when people who dont know defense or personel blame the guy that knows more than just about anyone else...
