Anybody wish we went back to a 4-3 defense?

I love Dave Aranda but I miss having a 4-3 defense with our d-linemen making plays. We have slow soft dlinemen and we have to rely on linebackers to pressure the quarterback.

I must admit that I'm not a fan of the 3-4 defense. Any outside runs we are toast.

Yes IMO we should go back to 4-3. Our D-line was non existent this year.

I don’t want us to go back to a 4-3, I want us to have the right D linemen for a 3-4, like that one team that has the best defense every year

If we never see the 1 down lineman formation ever again I'll happy.

3-4 is a close second.

I prefer the 4-3.

I know I’m alone with this but, I’m really not all that impressed with Aranda. I think that once the offensive coordinators diagnose it, it isn’t all that great.

4-3 allows the best mix of coverage ability and unique blitzes. 3-4 allows for more exotic blitzes and pressures, but when you don’t get any pressure it leaves you vulnerable to the run.

It’s been several years since we had a good defensive line all around. This year was our best chance but I think the 3-4 made it hard. I’d be fine going back.

Meh, you’d end up with the same guys pass rushing anyway.

Is there some surefirw 4-3 DE not seeing the field as a 3-4 OLB?

What you miss is better DTs

Losing Chaisson was a huge loss. Had he been available, you would have seen a different defense.

We can't run a 4-3 defense with all these running qb plays these days. Must have more speed.

I dont care what defense they run. I just wish they could get back to recruiting and developing a better d line. They need more depth there. They only have one d line commit at this point. That's not good enough.

D line hasn't gotten any better since Coach O has been around.

Wish we went back to the 5 or 6 man blitz packages. Tired of 4th and Aranda rushing 3 and dropping 8!!

Our DTs were bad. The scheme works on every level.
