Somebody should really bring that back. It was a hit and now with so many mp3 songs, the possibilities would be endless

That is a blast from the past. Brings back fond memories of growing up in Baton Rouge.

I met Danny on several occassions. He was always very nice, gracious, and an overall good guy.
His talent brought many smiles and lots of laughter to Tiger fans. Best wishes to Danny and his family.

Randy Rice, Gym Nasium, and that chick... forget her name.
I remember when they had that commercial that played before every movie in the Bon Marche cinema.
The last Tiger Track I remember was just before LSU played Nebraska in the Sugar (?) Bowl. Nebraska so thoroughly thrashed LSU that I either lost interest in Tiger Tracks, or they decided to quit doing them.

The last line of that commercial that played before movies was Jim saying "He ain't here" in his over the top character's accent. I can still hear that in my head.
Maybe we can also bring back Pat Shingleton's "We Play Baton Rouge" if we are talking about bringing back mid 1980's shows of questionable entertainment value.

He was the only reason I tolerated the transition from Arnsparger to Hallman!

Yes, it does. Good memories. WFMF was the coolest station in town back then. I feel really old when I hear today's versions of top 40 and it sounds horrible to me. I used to love Randy Rice and Gym Nasium. They were great. I miss those days and I miss BR. I miss my Mom and our old house.

I used to LOVE Tiger Tracks. Coach Arnsparger, what has the team been up to? "working and practicing"...(from Bob Seger's Night Moves). I have a ton of mid 80's air checks on cassette. I'll have to transfer them to CDR one day.
Anyone remember the obnoxious Z98 DJ that called himself "Hollywood"?

Hollywood is still around doing a christian radio website. his real name is Ted Kelley. He worked at 92.7 in the early 00's. he did nights. And just for kicks email him and call him hollywood..he gets Pissed!!!!

We have a few old airchecks featuring Randy Rice and Nasium. I love old airchecks. I hear that FMF was amazing. I have old tapes of my dad and other jocks and I love to listen to them. I love hearing what radio used to be like

your dad is a little erogant! He went to the grocery store my wife works at this past weekend and boldly stated who he was to which my wife said..WHO? never heard of you! She came home and told me and we laughed about it..I have never listened to WYNK and I never will

Beeeeeellll Aaaaarnspargergergegerger!
WFMF in the late seventies..WBRH in the early eighties..KLSU in the mid-to-late eighties..best three radio station runs in BR history during my lifetime.
Today..BR is an Crapola Clear Channel Wasteland on the FM dial..don't listen to it..
Use XM, Internet, and/or Local AM..only.
