re: Anybody hear Jordy say on his show tonight that Nuss gives our playmakers better chances?

Man if only the coaches realized this!! It’s like they want to lose
If only armchair PlayStation QBs on Internet forums were coaching LSU. We’d never lose a game. They obviously know more than the professionals with winning records.

It started with Jarret Lee. Who should have started over Jefferson.
And then in a relief start he looked terrible vs La Tech in '09 and had like 40% completions on the year.
2010 he had 2TD/1int in about 90 att and a RAT of around 120, a little bit better.
Started nicely in front end of 2011 except for UK, and then miserable vs Bama.

But y'all hang on his every word lol
He took the fact that Nuss completed a pass once and said he should win the Heisman this year, so yeah, they will.
But they also take anyone saying that there is more to the equation than “can throw the ball a long distance” to being a QB as saying “Nuss is trash and should never play for LSU” when in fact those of us who are fine with JD fully admit he’s flawed but also realize that Nuss has shown flaws too in the past and just because there is a (very) small sample size where he’s looked pretty good in games where the opposing teams defense was not playing at either their full potential (Georgia had backed off of pressure due to game being well in hand) or were worn out (which was the case with Grambling) we don’t believe there is enough evidence to know for certain that he gives us a significant chance of winning more games (a belief that the coaching staff obviously shares as well). Most of us are in no way opposed to making Nuss the starter and if this coaching staff did, I’d support him like I do JD. Im of the opinion that the coaches probably know more than any of us do about our players. They get to see fat more of them than any one else.
Most of us just think that the ones who have already proclaimed Nuss to be Joe Burrow 2.0 have insufficient evidence to do so. But tons of people believe all kinds of nonsense with insufficient evidence to do so. Others believe that something is “evidence” that in reality isn’t evidence at all.

It’s year two for Kelly. He can afford to test the waters at QB. Especially since half the fan base wants to see it happen anyways
Doesn't matter and doubt it's half, just a vocal minority.
This isn't a popularity contest and there's no fan vote.
No need to campaign for either QB on a site CBK doubtfully ever clicks.

I don’t think Daniels is genuinely bad, just limited
I’d much prefer a pocket passer to wheel and deal to the plethora of playmakers LSU has
Daniels eats up a lot of offense with his style of play, and then limits us down field They play the position so differently, it’s kind of a head scratcher they are on the same team
Daniels missed some easy passes vs FSU and that was simply enough for me. And i was riding with him last year and this offseason, assuming that aspect of his game would progress.
We just have too many good skill position guys to be limited to a flag football QB that’s gonna run a ton. We don’t need that. We have that all over the field.
His style of play is unnecessary with the talent we have
Well stated and I agree 100%. I love Daniels. Great kid and I wish nothing but the best for him but Nuss gives us our best chance to score lots of points.
That said, I think with Nuss starting Daniels could still have a key role as a change of pace QB at times.
This is how we should go.

Holy freaking run-on sentence!! Work in a few periods.

A sports talk host stirring up controversy. I’m shocked I tell you.

The last somewhat meaningful snap Nuss played was a Nuss fumble vs UGA. The last definite meaningful snap was an INT vs Arkansas.
I like how you try to slide stuff in on the sly.

Had no idea Jordy was so racist.

Nuss has two main things going against him.
3. He can’t run.
CBK, the NFL, all of football, wants a running QB now. Nuss is not quite that.
I wouldn’t be a bit surprised to see CBK go to the portal for a running QB until Collins is ready.

It’s obvious to literally everyone except for BK and the JD ball washers on here

Yep. I'm down. Tired of 300yds on 5yd passes and 13pts to show for it.
Open gazelles running, waving, Daniels either checks down, gets sacked or scrambles with the chance to get lucky.
Or better yet, throws a laser 4ft off the ground on what should be a fade, or a jump ball, and he hits their coverage in the back, forcing them to come back and make a catch OVER the DB.
Yeah I'm down for some picks to stop seeing all the same shite over and over.

Didn’t Jordy want LSU to hire Billy Napier and Mike Bianco?

His deep ball and over the middle threat is very easy to ignore against decent competition
It’s that he won’t throw it unless they are wide open/uncovered. He doesn’t seem to trust himself to make the tight throws we saw Burrow make.
Which could also be the problem that we aren’t scheming guys wise open like most of the best play callers do.
