Anybody else think LSU will have a HUGE chip on their shoulder?

I think LSU's 2012 Football team will play with a huge chip on their shoulder and that the loss in the MNC will only fuel this coaching staff and players to play even beyond what they accomplished in 2011. IMO we lost to Bama not because of a "Mythical" locker room fight, but because Bama had something prove, the loss Motivated them to aim higher. Just my 2 cents but I just dont see this team letting Jan 9th ride.

I think they will com out wanting to prove themselves, they are a young team that stunk it up in the championship game. Not sure about a chip, but a WANT to prove they are the best.

I would hope so. While next season will still be fun because we have a great chance to get back to the big game, I'm not expecting anything.
I think the biggest problem this year was that too many people felt like we had already won the thing after the SEC champ game. Almost as if the game itself was just a formality. I'm guilty. I had plans to hang the plaques up and everything. But next season, I won't hold my breathe til the last game reads 00:00.

Not to :beatdeadhorse: , but I believe that without JJ this team will climb to higher heights. I dont think we will see QB play like that for the foreseeable future.

I don't think anybody on the team next year will forget the bitter taste of that defeat in the BCS game. Huge chip on their shoulder. I hope they can rise to the occasion. I think they will. Mett is the key.

I agree with what has been posted on this thread. Mett is a key & the team will have a huge chip on their shoulder. I would only hope LSU does not have to play anyone two times next season.

I hope so ... I want to see the team come out and just dismantle everyone in their path with a precision passing attack and a relentless ground game.

I want you to go back in time to the Oregon game. Then move forward to WVU. Think about how excited we all were. The team was clicking. Defense was stout. Play calling was imaginative (at least moreso than now).
That's what this year post-Jefferson will be like.

My thoughts exactly , Les was forced to move away from JJ with a qb(Lee) that isn't as talented Mett and we developed a brand of offense that wasn't hard to watch or have faith in. Les inserted JJ and forced a retrograde de evolution to the teams that was obvious vs WKU, Georgia and clearly BCNCC vs Bama

I think the Alabama game will be even more hard hitting than the one in Tuscaloosa. As to inspiration, get all of the players to wear t-shirts under their pads for every practice that says something along the lines of 21-0, can't cross mid field osr restore order
