No idea if Kelly is going to make a change but he seems to prefer making all staff changes after the season is over, so I'd be shocked if anything happened before the bowl game.

Yes, Kelly has decided to hire his OC on a week to week basis to satisfy the unstable LSU fanbase.

Why should he? What does Sloan bring to the table? His one negotiating tool is now gone. Demote him back to QB coach. If he threatens to walk, let him go. No other P5 school will want him as an OC.

There have been rumors we will dump Sloan. I'll believe it when I see it. some insiders on the on3 message boards said that no one likes Sloan. some players just tolerate him more than others.

Not before we play our last game. It’s a pattern it seems. And a good one.

So he has a question and he’s not allowed to ask it? Who are you, the post police? Oh yeah, post less

I think Tommy Rees is a real possibility

You can't have the HC feeling like he has to take over play calling which is clearly what we saw.

Sloan didn't have much experience as OC coming into the position, so if you are Kelly you have to be thinking really hard about whether you want to continue to train someone or find someone you know can get the job done. BK isn't getting any younger and the pressure isn't getting any lower

I could definitely see this. I'm sure he prefers rees over Sloan. I'll take rees over Sloan every day of the week.

He got involved in playcalling in Denbrock's first year here as well and Denbrock was retained.

Vs D1 competition, LSU was #20 in yards per game and #55 in points per game, I don't understand this narrative that the offense was absolute trash and the OC should be fired.

This is just a 10000 ft observation question. We convince the QB to stay. We recruit a bunch of weapons from the portal. And we dont know who is going to run the offense???

Changing OC does not look like a momentum building move to me. Changing OCs would require him getting up to speed on what we do or us getting up to speed on what he wants to do or pretty much a blown Spring practice.

This is not what I endorse or want one way or the other but I am just saying it looks like we are playing this hand on the staff unless somebody leaves. Dec-Jan is coaching change season so time will tell. Like I said, just reading the tea leaves.

If LSU can fix its redzone offense (81st) and Nuss can bump his completion percentage, they’ll be in better shape

We couldn’t find a way to get big plays with a QB who can make any throw. That was odd to me.

I said this last year and tRant downvoted it at a record pace because a 17yo QB was committed

Worst rushing team in the SEC. Horrible in the red zone/tight zone. Talent bailed Sloan out plenty this year however his empty-yards offense definitely cost LSU some games including the opener, the Florida game etc
