Nuss hasn't been given a chance which begs the question of the OP. What is really going on with the QBs at LSU? Daniels is awful. Will he be here next year? If so, the program is in big dang trouble.

There’s just no reason to keep Daniels in down 30 late in the game. He’s either risking his “guys” health or he doesn’t want the backup to make a stir. Either way he’s wrong which means it wasn’t a strategic decision.

All the qb A and qb B talk is coach speak for off season competition.
Kelly had no intention of starting anyone else.
If Nuss were to show out now halfway through the season then Kelly looks dumb.

Right, we’re not criticizing JD because we don’t like him. I’m sure you’ve been around long enough to know what good QB play looks like and so have I. Hell I’ve seen below average throwers who were great running QBs have success but we don’t run that type of offense and JD can’t play from the pocket. This won’t work is the bottom line so what are we doing?

With Nuss, he hasn't been allowed to even experience one single start.
Is Nuss the answer? No idea, but I dont know why the hell he cant be given a shot in a throwaway season. Wasting snaps on Daniels isn't getting anyone anywhere.
If we hadn't ever seen Nuss play then sure I'd say give him a shot. But I've seen him, we all have. I'm wondering if people have amnesia because I didn't see anything that makes him worthy of all of this conversation. What do people think has changed?
That said I hope he does get to start so we can finally move on from all of this Nuss talk.
