At least he didn't hyphenate it. I've seen tards go with "pre-madonnas"

Nobody is questioning wearing gloves. The question is why do you need batting gloves and then take them off to put on running /sliding gloves when you get on base.

A lot of times when you slide the gloves will tear at the seam or get holes. Batting gloves are players favorite fitting/comfortable/lucky gloves. Don't want to tear them up

why do our base runners put on batting gloves/switch gloves once they reach base?
When you play BB twice a day for 6 mo any little scratch or scab gets to be a nagging issue...

I Never seen anyone else do it.These kids are premadonas.
I've never seen this either. They have batting gloves and base running gloves. They switch them out when they get on base. Very strange.
When I played, I never wore batting gloves to bat much less run bases. But I was playing on fields made of velvet, not high quality dirt and fake grass.

Spot on. 15 years of ball. This is what we all did. Nothing sucks more than sliding in head first and someone stepping on an extended finger with cleats or jamming a finger on the side of the bag.

Most baserunners hold their gloves in their hands when base running. It helps keep your hands up and avoiding them getting jammed (fingers) when sliding. Before batting gloves baserunners were instructed to hold dirt in their hands
Somebody should have told Pedroia that, tearing his UCL has really hurt his power.
