The thing about JR that really impresses me right now is that there is by no means a guarantee from a team that says he will get a second chance to earn the million dollar pay check and yet he still shows up with great attitude and looks self-motivated.

Why sign a guy who isn't quite ready in April. Teams will probably want him in camp this summer so he has at least a month to get the weight down. I'd say by July he is on a team and playing preseason ball. It needs to be the right team for him but he may have to take what he can get. There are a ton of shitty QBs out there on rosters that he can compete with. His goal is to be a backup right now and that's the way to go.
