Lol @ guys that actually think Fulton’s father will give full disclosure of his sons personal issues and life. I’m sorry, not hating on y’all but thats crossing a line. I understand addiction , and the bad decision making made fueled by it. Kristian is a young man and they make mistakes. I’m disappointed that it puts our DB situation at risk but I hope he works through his issues and gets his life and football career back on track. He has a ton of talent and I hope to see him contribute as soon as coach O or the sec clears him to play.

Fulton's father should do what he think is in his kids best interest. Most people recognize that. I also understand why LSU is keeping quiet...perhaps in the best interest of the kid as well.

Having said that, it's not unreasonable to expect info on the situation without giving out details.

* Does Fulton want to be on the team?
* Is Fulton participating in offseason team activities?
* Is Fulton going to participate in Spring practice?
* When is the earliest the Fulton issue (suspension/probation/compliance/something else) this will be resolved
* What is the nature of his current position? Not on team until he meets goals set by football staff? On team, but won't play until he meets goals of football staff? Out of the hands of football staff and waiting on Administration to decide? Etc?

LSU fans are completely in the dark on this. I understand all parties not wanting to get into the specifics of WHY the issue exists. Nobody needs to know if he failed a drug test...faked a drug test...did something illegal...did something against NCAA rules...cheated in school, etc. But, it's very reasonable as a fan to expect to know the timeline related to the issue. That's not his Dad's job. That's LSU's job. And, I don't understand why they aren't willing to release that info. And, I don't understand why the media isn't shaking trees trying to get that info.

This is a HUGE offseason story.

It seems like this is the way of coach O. We still have zero idea wtf happened with Key last offseason.

It seems that the fans will remain in the dark when it comes to this shite while O is coach.

Its not an O issue. Its not his families issue. Its up to the NCAA right now on if he will be allowed to continue. Its not due to grades but the matter is and should be private. The fault is a two year ban but there are appeals in place to lower it to one. NCAA thinks two, LSU thinks one......

Cheese steak is an arse.

You owe us nothing bone.

Kristian’s situation will play out however it will and we are all hoping for the best.

People on this board feel entitled to information for some reason.

Exactly. I'm still happy he signed with LSU and hope he can get on the field soon.

I can say that kris doesn’t have a drug problem nor grades. This is a private matter . He will be back hopefully sooner than later. He has a family that’s supporting him through this including Lsu. Somethings has been said that are clearly untrue. Kids make mistakes remember he was 17 when he arrived. So now let’s all be positive and patient. Imagine what he’s feeling. I know I’m his biggest fan. Thanks

Good deal mud bone , I didn’t imply he did infanct have a drug issue but I was only going off rumors I had heard on here.

You don't owe anything to anyone on here. You have a vested interest in protecting your son. You telling us it's not drugs or grades is far more than you needed to say. I agree that the details of the issue are private and don't need to be known.

But, I don't think that's what's most important nor what fans are entitled to hear. What's important is the parameters of if/when this will be resolved. You still haven't answered that (nor should you btw, this is LSU's job). And, LSU certainly hasn't addressed it. And, that portion is NOT a private matter. Again, please don't take this the wrong way. I don't expect you to say anything. As a father, my only concern would be my son.

A guy above is indicating it's an NCAA issue. I don't know if that's true or not, but what he said is exactly the type of information that needs to be confirmed by LSU.

I can read between the lines of what happened. I've heard rumors on here that made sense and whose punishment fits the timeline. But, I don't need that confirmed. What I as a fan want to know is what the timeline is...and what is going on that might alter that timeline (i.e. appeals process, etc.)

I don’t think it’s a problem, just saying that it’s the way it will be while O is HC.

It’s a little frustrating as a fan but it’s definitely a positive for the player. No one wants their dirty laundry aired out in the public.

Like I said, we as fans are owed nothing in terms of info on situations such as this.

It must be a relatively sensitive issue If it’s been kept under wraps so well. I heard something about using someone else’s urine for a UA. Not sure if there’s any truth to that but college kids screw up and smoke weed. It’s not that big of a scew up imo. Pretty tame compared to some of the stuff I have seen.

I met Fulton's father during Mardi Gras season. He had
gear from the bowl game and told me who is son is after I asked him if he had went to the bowl game. We both
talked about his opportunity for playing time if he steps up this year. I didn't even mention last year, because that is none of my business.

He was very nice and the fact that he was wearing LSU gear from the bowl game and positively talking about the upcoming season was a good sign.

NCAA

Basically, if an athlete pops for anything other than "street" drugs they are suspended a year.

If they pop after the fourth game of the season they are suspended for that season and the next if I read this right.

Just read it again and that crap is clear as mud, and I'm not saying Fulton did any of this. It was suggested earlier and these are the penalties.

Here is the result of tampered test:

quote:

A student-athlete who is involved in a case of clearly observed tampering with an NCAA drug test, as documented per NCAA drug-testing protocol by a drug-testing crew member, shall be declared ineligible for further participation in postseason and regular-season competition during the time period ending two calendar years (i.e., 730 days) after the student-athlete was involved in tampering with a drug test.

Fulton and his family are basically the epitome of what you want in the program. It's really a shame.
