Any examples of a team losing as much as we did, have no spring, limited fall, and maintain the same level of performance?

I responded directly to you in a thread. Like you typically do, when a question is asked that you know you can't answer, you ghost the thread and then play dumb.

Who is responsible for all those roster losses?

2019 wasn’t a 1 year thing, it was the culmination of of a build that you guys denied was happening for 3 years.

So he spent three years “building” that team. Seems like the program should be good to go then, right?

I don’t think all the other times you called me ignorant really ended well for you, RB, if you want to get into that.

Maybe you won't be a pussy like LE and will try to explain this then

We are worst in the SEC, and the entirety of the Power 5. tOSU, Bama Clemson etc all have just as many NFL guys as we do the last few years, and all also are dealing with COIVD. Those factors are not unique to LSU. How are we sooooo far behind them?

It’s ended well nearly every time. You’re a running joke around here for a reason my guy.

No reasonable fan expected back to back titles. Keeping the program from completely tanking isn’t some unattainable goal.

yea it is a laughable point for people to point to the amount of talent departing as a reason it is ok to be sub 500.

Players leave, no one asked O to win a another NC this year, Sec title or the west, we did ask don't embarrass the school completely and have a losing record. He managed to lose the first game as defending champ while giving up record yardage to a kid that isn't really even on states team anymore, not lose to mizzou he did that and don't get assraped by auburn and bama, which we did.

Even if that is true, you have to acknowledge the same can be said about 2020.

Yes circumstances may have exacerbated the situation, but we had roster construction issues looming this year for sure, and we were looking like a middle of the pack program again coming into the year for anyone being honest.

And the “build” was wholly dependent on having a fully prepped QB trained by Urban Meyer that also happened to be a team leader like few we’ve ever seen in CFB showing up with the only competition to get him being Cincinnati. That wasn’t a plan.

Plus, for all the credit you give to Brady, that certainly wasn’t in the building plans, but was just another fortuitous circumstance that will be very difficult to replicate going forward.

Agreed.

Huge moment in the future of this program coming up.

It’s not though. There’s a tangible explanation for it all. You just want to put a bow on it due to your confirmation bias.

Season will only be sub .500 because of Covid scheduling.

Uh how do you figure that?? They would have gotten wins against the powerhouses UTSA , Rice , and Nicholls to pad their wins, but .500 was the best this team could hope for. More than likely they would have been sub .500.

Northwestern won Big Ten West in 2018, finished last in 2019 and won the Big Ten West again this year. Injuries though...

Of course but O isn't turning around shite without players. He had better hold onto these guys, Gibert sucks but isn't the end of the world, there is still hope IMO.

That swings both ways baw.

Are you honestly claiming to be free from confirmation bias on this, or on 2019 for that matter?

The reality is obviously likely somewhere between O just fell arse backwards into 2019 and it was all a culmination of O’s meticulous planning for years, but at this moment it sure looks it’s a little more on the side of the former.

Here’s the original schedule:

UTSA
Texas
Rice
Ole Miss
Nichols
Florida
Arkansas
MSU
Alabama
South Carolina
Auburn
Texas A&M

There are 5 wins there, assuming no upsets, and another 2 POSSIBLE wins if LSU beats UT or MSU.

6-6 would have been the best case scenario IMO.

What if Brennan stays healthy in this scenario?

Also, with no Covid, Chase doesn't opt out.
