Any chance that we still get Wright and Harris as the year goes on?

They would easily make us even better. Maybe once all the legal proceedings are over they’ll be added. Why else would we leave two spots open on the roster for them?

The time exigency is the horse on the dining room table. Why is it not clear whether or not these men can play. If there is no rule to cover it then the benefit of the doubt should go to the players.

Yes it is worth it. You always need more depth in the SEC.
Also, these guys aren’t just depth players. They’re All-SEC guys. They could push us from great to elite.The announcers during the Ole Miss game last night were talking about how they needed someone to step up and replace Da’Quan Wright.
It doesn’t matter that they’re not good enough for the NFL right now. They’re dominant college football players who have already proven to be top-end SEC players.
The NFL is a completely different level. It’s irrelevant here.

If they are enrolled at LSU, Wright and Harris did not have to be rostered by last Friday's deadline. It is my understanding that both were enrolled. If true, LSU can add them at LSU's convenience.
As for the federal court action.
On September 3, the Complaint was filed in the U.S.D.C. for the N.D. Alabama. The Court issued Summons the same day to the Defendants: LSU, LSU Board of Supervisors, Rousse, Ausberry, and Kiffin. This is standard practice as the Summons are drafted by, and served at the direction of, Plaintiff's counsel.
The Defendants have 21 days from date of service to file responsive pleadings. There has been no return of service, so we don't know when that countdown starts.
The Defendants have not yet filed responsive pleadings. I would expect the responsive pleading to be a joint motion to dismiss.
On September 4, the Court issued its standard "INITIAL ORDER GOVERNING ALL FURTHER PROCEEDINGS - with appendices attached. Signed by Judge Annemarie Carney Axon." Judge Axon's Initial Order There is nothing magical about this Initial Order. Nearly all district court judges have initial orders or something similar.
COMCLUSION: If the players are enrolled, LSU can add them to the roster at any time. Nothing is happening with the federal lawsuit.

If they were going to, they would’ve added them Friday. Nothing will change in two-three weeks time. The NCAA, SEC, and CFP will still be against it.

If the brass feels comfortable that there will be no punishments or ramifications to come of them playing, they will play. If there are concerns or if the federal hearing goes south, they won’t.
