Mett proved that the pattern can be broken. As long as some other coaches get ahold of them before ours do, they have a shot.

Whats your point? Do you think the rest of this board doesn't know he has a low percentage ranking, or do you just want to tear down a kid who plays his heart out for our university?

I truly believe there is a fraction of poster who would rather see Jennings fail and lose rather that improve, succeed, and lead the Tigers to a championship.

My joke about LSU's offense last night got zapped. I don't think it was disrespectful.

Q: What element of LSU's offense prevents the most, and coincidentally rhymes with, WINNINGS?

A: Its Big 10 underpinnings.

Jennings would be a lot better elsewhere!

LSU's team passing efficiency is actually #54 when Harris gets included.

Of course not, but the pumper brigade continues to make up these mythical "fans" to discredit actual analysis.

In completion percentage . You will have to scroll to the last page

In winning percentage he might not be in a class of his own but it don't take long to call the roll.

reality is staring us in the face... ATVS wrote a great article on jennings....

LINK

quote:

So I'm saying I want Jennings to succeed. I'm rooting for him, and if he's starting this weekend, I won't curse my television and root for him to fail. I'm saying that I just don't think it's likely he will. It's time to start the Brandon Harris Experiment.

quote:

The inverse of this is that you can tell a player doesn't have it when he gets praised for something rather ordinary. I realized this when it became popular after the Bama game to point out that Jennings had a pretty good second half. Not counting overtime, Jennings went 6 of 12 for 45 yards in the second half. If we include OT, he went 6 of 16 after the half. That's less than 3 yards per attempt. That's terrible... and worse yet, that was significant improvement. Going 2 of 10 for 31 yards (and a pick and a TD) in the first half was even worse.

comments from paul:

quote:

No one is angry at Jennings.
We’re observing him fail continually and wondering why nothing is being done about it.

It’s not personal. It’s not anger.

It’s the same questions we asked when DJ Welter routinely played poorly and Beckwith was a glorified towel waver.
The same question we asked when Alex Hurst struggled, when Jalen Collins struggled last year, when struggles.

Most of the time, when someone plays poorly, someone else takes their job. But it’s not happening at QB, and it doesn't make sense.

quote:

This is about sheer production. The numbers are horrendous.

Jennings is 102nd in passing yards.
84th in efficiency.
85th in passer rating
Stat sites won’t even rank him in completion %

He’s asked to do very, very little and doesn’t even do that well. We are obviously and actively gameplanning around him, as evidenced by the fact that we still regularly run one route plays with max protection.

It’s not anger, nor emotion. It’s plainly seeing what’s happening. The offense is ineffective almost exclusively because the QB is terrible.

posting his stats isnt bashing. Those are the stats he earned, himself.

They are facts. bashing is like Salviati lying about stats to put down a player in favor of another.

Jennings isn't going to succeed.

He is one of the worst QBs in the nation. That's just a fact. He's a nice kid.

Someone else should be playing instead.
