There are some really dense motherfrickers banging away at their keyboards in here. Cptbengal while unpopular seems to be one of the few who have read the available information and come to reasonable conclusions. AJ & pals may have felt justified but that doesn't make their actions any less unlawful.

You have never provided anything remotely resembling a link to this "confession."

A confession means they did, in fact, commit the crime.
You have never provided anything remotely resembling a link to this alleged video either.

Do you have a link to a "confession" or not?

He hasn't shown shite that there was a confession.

Somebody confessed something to the cops to get those 3 arrested.
Do you even know the definition of a "confession."

Guess what else, even if Jennings didn't go inside, and just stood outside, he's guilty of the same crime basically.
:smh:

Dazzle me with your vast legal knowledge, oh ye who doesn't know the definition of "confession."

They took the PS4 and sneakers, the laptop was returned to him a few days ago.
Lets' slow down with the usage of "they" when only one person is charged with taking something.

Question: Wasn't it reported by the campus police that someone involved damaged the door? Would this be the locked bedroom door and not the door to the residence (apartment, dorm room, whatever)? I'm trying to figure out what has changed since yesterday.
The bedroom door was allegedly damaged, not the apartment door.

Anderson's roommate opened the door to the apartment, let the men in, and then went to his room leaving the men to wait in the living room for Anderson.

In the article I linked contained the following statement.
quote:

Jennings filed a police report on June 10 for the stolen items. Before last week’s incident, Jennings told police Bain had retrieved the laptop from Nicholas Anderson, who bought it from a person nicknamed “Doodaman,” the report says.

This is what I based my observation on. I have subsequently seen an article linked by someone else that states Anderso gave police the nickname "Doodaman" as the person he purchased the Macbook from.

Really seems like an unfortunate string of bad choices all around.

Oh my fricking god.

Let's talk about some of the complete bullshite CptBengal has posted in this thread.

CptBengal posted: LINK ]

They broke into another person's HOME.

Then threatened a person there....then robbed the place.

These are INDISPUTABLE FACTS.

His INDISPUTABLE FACTS are complete bullshite:
quote:

They broke into another person's HOME.
No. They did not break into another person's HOME. They were let into the apartment.

quote:

Then threatened a person there.
No. They did not threaten the person there.

quote:

then robbed the place
If they retrieved property which had been stolen from them, they did not rob the place. FTR, even if it wasn't their stuff, they did not "rob" the place.

quote:

These are INDISPUTABLE FACTS.

And where did he get that load of horseshite?

He still hasn't posted a link to the "confession."

Thanks for the link, seems to be a more indepth article than the one I linked to in the Advocate. That one had the following statement
quote:

Jennings filed a police report on June 10 for the stolen items. Before last week’s incident, Jennings told police Bain had retrieved the laptop from Nicholas Anderson, who bought it from a person nicknamed “Doodaman,” the report says.

Ultimately, while the desire to go in and get your stuff is understandable, until ownership is verified, taking it from someone else's premises will probably get you charged with theft and simple burglary.

I'm thinking the ultimate result will be somebody getting charged with misdemeanor damage of property.

Ok.... "They" to help Jennings take his stuff back.

And yea DT was the only 1 charged for taking something, just because he was the 1 carrying it. But he was charged with misdemeanor simple burglary. All 3 of them were arrested on a felony charge of unauthorized entry of a dwelling.

A lot of people are focused on the burglary, but the felony is the unauthorized entry of a dwelling.

No. They did not threaten the person there.

As the individual then left for another class, Bain, Thomas and Jennings followed him out of his apartment. According to the arrest report, Jennings told the individual that "If I don't have my s*** back at 2 p.m., it's going to be something."

The individual told authorities that he felt threatened and intimidated by Jennings' comment.

It's just bad sentence construction. Both pieces of information come from the report:

(1) Jennings told police Bain had retrieved the laptop from Nicholas Anderson; and

(2) Nicholas Anderson bought it from a person nicknamed “Doodaman.”

The author or editor spliced them together not realizing the confusion it caused.

As you can see by Jennings' comment, and the context laid out in the rest of the article, Jennings made that comment, and that whole interaction occurred, before the incident for which the men were arrested.

Yep...

And while inside the apartment, didn't Bain and DT tell the roommate that he should give them his stuff back and not to wait till the situation was out of control? Or something like that. And the roommate had no idea wtf was going on because he had no knowledge or involvement in any of it.

And they visited the apartment / roommate multiple times. 1 of the times was when he was comin back from class and went into his apartment, then he heard the door open behind him and it was Jennings, Bain, and DT coming through the door. He didn't let them in right there and said that to the police. And after that, when leaving, Jennings looked back and said if he doesn't have his stuff back at 2:00pm, there was gonna be a problem.

Then 2 days later, he answers the door and it was them again with a few more and said they were gonna sit in the living room and wait for Anderson. That's when they busted up the door and took the PS4 and shoes.
