Soon the Mcmen will tell us that Wade and mcneese are spending more on basketball than we do.

Wade has MCNEESE playing at a level where they can compete with the best of the SEC. Let that sink in OP.
LMMFAO...the fact that you really think this. Mcneese would be underdogs to both LSU and South Carolina. Mcneese isn't competing with the best of the SEC. This is the kind of shite that just blows my mind. Tell you what, IF Mcneese is competing with the best of the SEC based upon their 8 point loss, then McMahon has LSU competing with the best as well.
How old are you, seriously?

no, most of us aren't concerned about Mcneese...just you guys that think wade is a HOF coach, that somehow no one came in and stole from Mcneese this year.

Wade has been to the real tourny with mcneese while MM has failed at LSU
Yeah, grambling and southern get in the tourney too. If you can't see the difference...well, nevermind.

If only we had wades record at LSU as well. Oh we do and it’s much better than MM.

BTW, in his first year with the Cowboys, Wade also lost to Western Carolina, LA Tech, SouthEastern, & to Gonzaga (by 21) in the first round. But he won the Southland Conference. Woohoo!
How did he do against Nicholls?

McMahon won 2 games in year 1. Wade won his conference, conference tourney and went to the NCAA tourney in year 1 but somehow the worst conference record in program history is better than getting a team to the tourney that hasn’t been in 14 seasons.
I loved Will Wade, but ask yourself why we were in position to be so bad in McMahon’s first year. It was due to the actions of Will Wade. I hate Scott Woodward for firing Wade but acting like he’s building a juggernaut at McNeese is far fetched

You missed the point of my reply to the OP.

East Texas A&M? Never heard of them-- how do they compare with the "normal" Aggies?

You seem to be under the delusion Wade was fired in 1996. When Brady took over in the late 90’s he did so under actual adverse conditions. LSU had real sanctions and a new coach couldn’t rebuild an entirely new roster with immediately eligible transfers.
Now, ANYTIME, there is a coaching change, regardless of the reason, the new coach is left with little to no returning players. Just this season the SEC has 3 new coaches. This is the situation the new coaches faced. Vanderbilt - 2 returning players. Arkansas - 1 returning player. Kentucky - 0 returning players. All had to build completely new rosters in the offseason.
McMahon did not have to deal with some extreme outlier scenario. In fact 3 returning players are more than many new HCs are left with. The sanctions, for practical purposes, amounted to nothing.
He’s had every bit the same opportunity as any other new HC. And to be honest, his recruiting hasn’t been terrible. He’s just a poor game coach relative to other major conference opponents. He’s 80+ games into his LSU tenure. How much time is needed to show he will even be able to consistently win?

Man don't bring further embarrassment to the program. Gloating about out performing McNeese.
Has Woody destroyed all your pride in LSU?

It's not about what I think. The OP is using McNeese as a benchmark for LSU. Think about that if you are capable of thinking.

Oh boy the Mcmen will scream dark cloud. No good player actually cared about sanctions.

Are we supposed to completely ignore the fact that your dumbass hero is the reason this team is in the position they're in at present. Yes, Wade did better at the start, then proceeded to put himself and his record above the reputation and the credibility of the program itself. Your dumbass hero tanked the program and then left it for others to clean up his mess. GTFOH.

the fact that you’re even having to try this hard to paint McMahon in a positive light compared to a Southland Conference program….is the problem.
McMahon is gone as soon as his buyout is digestible.

Wade was cheating his arse off when it was illegal to cheat. We were about to get slammed with probation, the only thing that stopped it was the advent of NIL. Football program was in the gunsights as well. Woody wasn't letting Wade take down the football program. Some of you have amnesia.

Wade this.
Wade that.
none of that has anything to do with the program being abysmal 3 years into McMahon’s stint at LSU.
