Well, from a big three sports perspective, it is often mentioned during games how some schools excel at almost every NCAA sport. It gets the brand out there. We need to see "LSU" at the top of every sport.

You never know who is watching. Or maybe a great football player is dating a great gymnast in HS, and they want to attend the same college.

I remember this thread last year, and then we went and beat one of those teams you say we never beat.

I like the jinx you're going for.

If you're watching women's gymnastics for the sport and not for the hot girls in tight leotards, I've got some bad news...

The only thing that interests me is watching women spread their legs in Gym. The cutesy smile with those lovely purple tights. I would like to be a judge in that activity.

Any activity where subjective judging determines who wins the competition is not a sport. Sorry.

I do not like baseball either.

I don't know much about gym but that meet tonight was good. Poor Centenary was garbage, but DD has brought in some good talent. Rheagan and Lloimincia are the real deal. Everyone was solid tonight though. Guess I'm a gymshine pumper

LSU actually had the highest SEC score tonight (although UF's first meet is Saturday)

You do know that they're about to build them a brand new facility that's gonna be one of the nicest in the country, right?

Haven't been to a gymnastics meet in years - it really is a good family activity if you have young kids.

I agree, LSU shouldn't settle for average. It's time to clean house. This goes for any coach who isn't producing above average results.

I saw the news story about the meet last night and thought of you. Wondered when I'd see this thread started for the new season.

Wife and I go to a few meets a year and it is great to see young fit bodies half dressed. Having said this I have to agree mostly with OP, and I fully admit that I do not like our coach, but if she won would accept her. Go to a meet versus uga, uf, ala etc and you see class and she has none. As a pure outsider I also hear she is least liked person in ad. Don't know her personally but do know we never win sec, facts ain't pretty but also not sure who we would hire and what we would have to pay. Can't think she stays much longer anyway. But if we have a sport we should be competitive rings true with me.

Saintsfan just don't get how you keep talking about all the matters is score...fine our SCORES are 80% of the time below our rivals. But we can agree to disagree. As for the excuse, who are we getting as next coach...just don't get this one, 36 years, maybe time for someone new..maybe our uga assistant...as for some posts about how she is viewed in the department, I can only say she that everyone has a want to view her as extremely disliked....anyway, won't overdo this topic, appreciate the thoughts and again, facts are facts...finally, I agree that watching fit young females compete is awesome, but I will just repeat again...if we are going to have a sport, can we expect our coaches to win or compete for the sec every 5-7 years?

Because scores determine ranking, postseason births, postseason advancement, etc. Win/loss record isn't important at all. Theoretically you could lose all your meets until the Super 6 and win the national title.

I'm sure he's the unofficial coach in waiting.
