I know because I am an avid LSU fan that had seen enough of Les Miles to know his scheme. The only way Harris starts is if something were to happen to Jennings and Redding.

So the truth is you dont know if he knows the playbook or not.

ou're discrediting Les starting a freshman in a bowl game because you deem it to have meant nothing. No chance Jennings was the best option, huh? Youre an idiot.

I made a statement that Miles went with Jennings because he was the best option at the time. Retting or Rivers are no where near as Mobile as Jennings is and Stevie wonder can see that. The bowl game meant nothing in the grand scheme of things. It was a bowl game and im glad we were there, but all hell would not have broken loose if we lost due to the injury to Mett and a RSF QB. This was miles time to experiment against a not so good team with no repercussions either way.

And Rettig is mobile, but you saw a white guy and assumed he was slow. Nice

Way to race bait you piece of shite. I was actually referring to Jennings over Rivers. I dont see a slow white dude in rivers, I see a lanky pro style QB who cant run from a dline our O line couldn't block.

Jennings will start come August. Brandon Harris will win the position going into 2015 after getting a chance to shine in games late in the '14 season. Harris will dominate in the off-season going into 2015 and lsu will have one of the best backfields with Fournette and two top wr's will emerge by '15 as well. Most likely a strong title run in 2015.

Rettig tranfers after 2015 season.

Looks like Miles thinks it's a two horse race. All this from an Advocate article.

I had to chuckle myself that he kept having to repeatedly correct himself.

I'm curious what exactly have you have seen to conclude that Jennings is more mobile than Rettig?

Penrod,

(1) You need to work on your reading comprehension. It sucks

(2) why do you have an exclamation mark in your title? Are you happy to think that Rettig is out of the mix? Why would you feel that way?

So you think its funny?

Yes, i think its utterly hilarious that you have crowned Harris the starter because of a throwaway quote in the advocate. Its also humorous to me at how mad you will be when Jennings is the starter this year

quote:

Its not about a shiney new toy

Yes it is. If BH does get PT this season, and struggles in the slightest you and the Rant will be proping up whoever we sign in this recruiting cycle and discarding Harris as a scrub.

quote:

s not like he is a true freshman coming in

Actually, thats exactly what its like.

The playbook isnt easy to learn. It took Mett a year and a half to learn it.

From what I read and not having the entire article when I posted that, I took it to mean that BH looked better than AJ

Hopefully Rettig gets a chance to compete. I am not saying he is the best, because like the rest of us I do not know. I do think that it is foolish of us to anoint anyone as a starter, because none of them really has proved anything at this point. Good luck to all three.

This is wrong. Rettig has had over 100 practices in which to compete. That you haven't witnessed it does not mean it hasn't happened. BTW, Les has never given me a chance! You? Should he?

So let me understand this logic here....and that is if LSU has a winning season in '14.

if LSU has a winning season in '14, that means that Jennings played and matured well enough. But in '15, Harris will have jumped a QB that's had a full winning season under his belt and gained experience with the college game and the SEC?

Lifetime starting positions no matter what. You would be a big believer in that.

Nah. I think Welter sucks too.

But your comment didn't help me understand the logic.

If Jennings is good in '14, why would Harris take over in '15?

KCT,

FYI, an exclamation point does not denote happiness. It is an intensifier, indiscriminate of what emotion it is modifying.

For the record, I don't have a dog in the hunt, and I simply find it exciting news.

If jennings starts all 2014, he won't be benched ever but that's because of Miles not bc its the smart thing. Jennings shouldn't be grandfathered in as our qb for 3 years bc he is a year older than Harris.

Im not counting jennings out but he certainly looked as shitty as humanly possible in that game. Negative poise, zero pocket presence, magnetically drawn to slow as dirt big ten DL, refusal to even attempt to run.

He actually looked poised in the spring game as a early enrollee but he panicked when the real lights came on. I don't think us going 8-4 with him handing it off 80% of the time next year means we owe him the starting job for two more years over likely a better qb.

Why would I care who starts? as long as its te best person and I trust Cam to make that decision. So you are basically a stupid motherfricker.

I already said I misread the quote and not having the entire quote contributed to it.

So how about you frick off worm.

No a-hole it is not. He came in early so he has had a chance to practice that other freshman havent.

Again, you show your intellegence.

I looked at this on Nola.com last night and I'm about 80% sure he's talking about how they look physically. Harris was a stick at Parkway and Jennings was pretty light himself last year. Guessing Rettig has gotten faster (maybe because 2 years removed from the injury).
