I could've sworn the goal before the season was to just reach the tournament. We've very likely reached the NCAA, so why do people want to fire our coach? Isn't job performance based on reaching your goals? Wasn't our only goal to reach the tournament? We've fricking done that. Not only are we going to the tourney, but we're going to get the No.1 recruiting class. I mean holy frick somebody help me.

It's the same morons who want Miles' head every season. Pay them no mind.

Starkville, LSU has no business in NCAA Tournament. Based on today's game?? Really.. So the win at West Virginia, at Arkansas and the wins over Ole Miss mean nothing? An 11-7 record in the SEC and a 22-10 overall record and going 13-5 against Top 100 RPI teams??

this team has a much higher ceiling than "just make the tournament"

clemson, missouri(LOL), texas a&m twice, auburn twice, mississippi state (LOL),tennessee

the way this game ended in regulation is a microcosm of the season, just very, very frustrating

FYI, I find it ironic that the complaint against LSU (legitimately) is that we lose to weak teams (often at home) but beat beat good teams away from home...yet everyone is saying we are 100% one in done in a tourney full of good teams away from home.

In the SEC tournament I was more worried about the low seeds than the high seeds. If LSU can avoid playing low seeds in the NCAA tournament they can win a few games.

Backing into the tourney with 2 NBA bound players. Awesome.

No one disagrees that this is a frustrating team.

But the extremes that posters take it to shows their true colors. Once they smell blood, it doesn't matter if it's their own.

FWIW Jerry Palm at CBS and the guy at SI both still have us comfortably in.

1) today locked up an NIT berth.
2) why would you want to watch this lazy team with zero killer instinct anyway? Just adds another L to the tourney resume.

The issue is what is holding this team back from being great.

Is this the new mantra for all LSU teams?

UCLA is winning. A win would hurt us, but I think Indiana would fall out before we do.

Agreed but this is a game that has a huge impact on LSU's chances. I think some might differ on LSU/Indiana in terms of who is better. I think LSU is comfortably over UCLA, but that would change with a win over Arizona with a shift toward UCLA.

ETA: Boise St. is currently losing to Wyoming. That could be good for LSU provided Wyoming lost in the title game to SDSU or Colorado St, who are both likely in (Wyoming is not).
