Yes, do you think LSU is the only team adding players from portal?

I’ll say this, if things continue to trend the way they are in the portal, this will easily be Brian Kelly’s most top to bottom complete team he’s had at LSU. Assuming the O Line and Safety rooms get addressed, which all indications are that they will, LSU will roll out

A veteran QB with a ton of production
Game breaking speed and playmaking at running back
A loaded corp of WR’s with speed to burn
A highly recruited and veteran O Line

A deep and talented group of edge rushers and interior players
A stable of fast athletic linebackers
A revamped secondary with exponentially more athleticism than you’ve had.

That looks like a contender to me.

Anything can happen. A natty is the perfect intersection of the switch going to on for the right players at the right time, good fortune with injuries, and the weird shaped ball bouncing just right in key moments.

I honestly don’t think we have the level of talent we used to pre -Covid at almost any position and we are more than just a player or two away. A realistic expectation is 10 wins and it would take a lot of luck to get far in the playoffs.

We also need a really good experienced offensive tackle, which it looks like we are in good position to land one. Then we may have a shot.

The portal has changed football and you can’t look at what we have and our replacements and believe that we are playing teams that we have played this year. Our competition will also upgrade in the portal even if many haven’t the transfers we do. Like someone else said, these transfers look good on paper but can they work as a team together with the guys we have?

Yes you are. I'm taking a pause on shitting on BK after his donation, so I won't make any further comments.

We will know week one if actual changes to game planning were made. You can have all the talent in the world, but if you can't properly game plan and make changes during a game, you won't win shite.

Yes, because in order to do that they would need to make the 12 team playoffs.

Agree with CJ here. Would adad TE, Edge Rushers to Safety & OL reload will be the telling story for next year. Critical we assess highly experienced NIL additions as plug & play talents to complement up and coming young talent such as DeShawn Spears and Jovian Toviano at Safety, the plethora of young but inexperienced OL talent where we have recruited well. Like our NIL adds at TE and Edge/DE.

let's just settle for a playoff berth first until we see the production on the field

I'll say this, I know it was only Ga Southern but I knew after that game that 2019 was gonna be special

we need to take that kind of approach with an easier game right out of the gate before playing a power 5 non conf

Well, everything looks good when recruiting and not actually playing games. You have to keep everything in perspective. We aren't the only team that is doing well in recruiting and you have to remember we still have Brian Kelly as the head coach.

LSU better start hot next season: Clemson, Florida, Ole Miss, SC in first 6 games.
Ask again after week 4 or 5.
