That’s why having Ramos as your kicker is an unforgivable error from Kelly. To have a kicker who is physically not capable of making a 50 yarder is a disgrace and borderline fireable offense. It’s so easy to fix and already cost you one game

Cole Tracy was automatic from inside 45. Legitimately 100% (maybe he missed one all year). Ramos isn’t even that. He’s average from inside 45. Including missed extra points. And cannot if his life depended on it kick it 50 yards

Wade archer could kick it that far but would have hit the popcorn vendor on the East sideline somewhere.
Hell, Nick Saban went most of career at Bama without a kicker he could trust past about 35 yards or so.

Tracy was also one of the best FG kickers we had ever had up to that point, despite not having elite distance.

Ramos is 8/9 inside of 45 this year. He was 10/11 inside of 45 last year.
On top of that, first you said having Ramos as our FG kicker was “a borderline fireable offense” and then you said he was “average.” Which is it?
FWIW Ramos is, statistically, a slightly above-average SEC kicker this year.
