I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve ever heard the word honkey used by a black person.
You didn’t attend my 60-70% black junior high school in the 1970s. “Honkey” and the “N word” were used all the time. And no one was actually offended.

I like Albino Badger or Bino Badger for short.

Exactly!! That’s what I’m saying

I didn't think Honkie Badger was at all racist the first time I read about it. And I still don't, even with all the ignorant racist remarks!
Then the spell checker auto changed Whit to "WHITE WEEKS"! I could understand someone thinking that is racist.
HA!!

I just spoke to Tyrann and he said it was ok to call him Honkey Badger.

Agreed. Spent several years at Westdale JHS in the 70's hearing 'honkey', 'cracker', and the n-word all day every day. It was just part of the normal vocabulary, much as "bitch" is nowadays.

How bout “Shotgun?” I’m not sure y’all noticed, but his celebration after the pick was to take the football and pretend he was shotgunning a beer. And then there’s the regular connotations, obviously—how fast he is off the ball, how he’s all over the place, how when he hits somebody it sounds like a shotgun going off. And it is the best weapon for defense.
I imagine he’s killed a few hundred or thousand birds (ducks) and beers shotgunning, just listening to him.
Shotgun
ETA—or Shotgun Whitty

No let's refuse to bend to the small minority here, this is the nickname - there is none better out there.

Wasn't Tyrann somewhat "meh" about Honey Badger when it first came out?
