There were several people who had their panties in a wad because they thought McMillan, Narcisse and Brennan were getting treated unfairly. There was a strong feeling back then that people should get the job not because they were the best candidate but because “Give Him a Chance!” The same reasoning was deployed when Ensminger got the OC gig and even to Orgeron.

I wasn't worried.
I never thought they were the ones to lead us to where we wanted to be. I didn't know much about Joe but felt comfortable with Joe and Brennan.

One thing that should be noted here is it's pretty awesome that guys like Chase and Marshall were on board before they knew we had an elite QB or scheme. Glad it turned out well for them.
