I read this board frequently and post rarely (as you can tell by my post count) but I had to sign in just to give you another downvote. Alleva made "LSU look bad nationally" and was fired "deservedly so"!

I see the timing of this move as more about Woodward than about Alleva. By the way the timing played out, it appears somebody talked to Woodward and he said he'd take the job right away. So they saw a chance for an upgrade and took it. If Woodward wasn't available, they may still have fired Alleva, but would not have done it at this time.
For the first time in a while LSU has made a hire the way they should: they got the replacement first (an upgrade from the incumbent) and then fired the incumbent and immediately hired the replacement. That is how it should be done.
