If LSU goes 6-1 as well as UF, do you honestly think we would be left at home and UF would get to go?

If LSU goes 6-1 and Alabama is 7-1 AND if Florida is 6-1 and Tennessee is 6-2, the SECCG will be Alabama vs Florida. This is a fact. I don't care who screams bloody murder, that will be the match-up, because that's what the rules state.

he said it 3 times.

it's a tough situation to reschedule, he says.

see how it shakes out down the road.

says we've seen the options. open date before alabama game but only if bama plays that week before.

dec 3 when championship is. doesn't think that can happen because of contracts. feels it will be difficult to recechule

will not give up a home game.

if they don't have the game, may have to look at how west champion is determined.

Slightly different take on the 6-1 and 7-1 issue
That would mean LSU unbeaten under CEO.

BEAT BAMA AND AGGIES

and would be 9-2

I'd take my chances on a playoff position then. Lots of football left. We could be the sentimental hottest team unless everyone else is unbeaten.

Plus the grandest of all outcomes. Bama in SEC title game and loses ... tenn would win with 2 losses (fla will get beat by Georgia). Tenn would be 11-2 but 1-1 vs Bama. LSU unbeaten under CEO. LSU goes over tenn.

Lots of ifs, but great dream scenario.

Yeah, I hear that. I think we would also need some outside help too though. That scenerio might leave the SEC out completely, unless we had some upsets in other power 5 conferences. Possible though.

Thanks Mikedatiger

Yes hoping there is definitely a home game! I've already got flights, accommodation and tickets. It'd be a tough blow five weeks out!

I wonder if it is Florida in Tiger stadium, would the USA game ticketholders get options??

I suppose I'll cross that bridge if it arises!

Wishing everyone luck with this mess from Ireland!!!

I'd laugh so hard if Florida loses a home game over this because they were too stubborn (afraid) to play the game today.

That's not how it works Chicken. Highest winning percentage wins out.
sorry, but there is no precedence for this and allowing it to happen would harm the integrity of the league.

A lot of people on this board bashed Alleva for not doing this sooner. It's obvious now what was going on. Had he done this before, you bet your arse the backlash would be huge. Our administration was waiting for this hurricane situation to die down. It's now Monday. We see that the hurricane did not affect the area. They can now come out and say what everyone was calling for them to say. We're not getting fricked over in any way shape or form. You fix this shite, because it's not our problem.

There might still be some backlash, but it will be minimal now.

I agree. I think if the game does not get played they will have to make rules accommodations for it.

I hear you. And I agree with you about how bad it would look. But the fact that the rules use the words "best winning percentage" makes it sound like it was done so in case of a canceled game or a tie. So it appears that the rules cover this happening. And I would find it hard to believe they would change this in the middle of the season, especially knowing it would hurt Bama. Maybe I'm wrong.

The SEC will not have a choice, because they can't force either side to do anything. Maybe they can force us to play on Dec 3rd, but not in any other situation.
