That's an issue but we can scheme around that, especially if we give him a better running scheme. This 90% inside zone shite needs to end. We need more pistol (to not give away our running side so teams can't tee off like USCw) and more blocking schemes. We also need more real motion.

He has some mechanical work (mainly throwing off his back foot) to sort out.

I think our coaches are trying to tame his aggression a bit, but there will be a game or 2 where we need him to grip it and rip it, and it's good to know he has that ability. He just needs to develop so he can be a threat at both at the same time.

He's done pretty well with high volume this year. His efficiency and ypa isn't great, but that should come with time (especially if the above occurs). If he stays and keeps developing, he could be All-SEC next year (assuming that our OL exists).

I hope Nuss does really well this week and keeps improving.

There really not worth the time. I’m done responding to THAT specific group. You know why. We all know why. It is what it is. The fact is, the gave JD so much hate, proclaimed Nuss was absolutely the better option (despite not having any evidence to support such a claim because the dude had not even played much at all but somehow out of about 3 minutes of PT they were able to come to the conclusion that Nuss would have won every game in 22/23) and now are trying to say there is a group who are giving Nuss the same treatment they gave JD (which isn’t happening AT ALL) all because they can not stand the fact that JD turned out to be one of the best QBs LSU has ever had (and an argument could be made for him being THE BEST). It’s just sad and pathetic that they let their own personal bias get them so worked up that this is what they have resorted to to defend themselves. Weakness and insecurity knows no bounds.
