I feel like this is the minority opinion I completely agree with. You're still going to play them plenty and if you make it to SEC CHAMP or Playoff, probably an even greater chance.

Now you get the chance for so many other potential great matchups that we've seen infrequently over the history of the SEC.

I would rather have OU than ATM.

OU a better draw for competition and a better game than Arky.

By the time we play Georgia in 2027, it will have been 9 years since we had a scheduled game with them (2018) and 14 years since we played at Sanford. 14 seasons between playing a conference opponent at their place. Thats absurd. And they're going to go 11 years between games at Tiger Stadium

LSU has played UGA 33 times including 5 in the SECCG which is not scheduled and we played them I think twice before the SEC was founded so basically we’ve been scheduled to play Georgia 25-26 times in over 90 years of being in the same conference that’s just stupid

Why did they give us back-2-back @Ole Miss (25 and 26) and same with TAMU at home?

They could have just flipped those and kept those games on the same home-away track.

Not sure how it was determined, but it aligns with our home/away non conference.

(2026) 4 SEC home games + Clemson
(2027) 5 SEC Home games
(2028) 4 SEC home games + SMU
(2029) 5 SEC home games

yeah but all they had to do was make Ole Miss home for 26 and TAMU away in 26 since. It wouldn't change the number of home games for LSU. It may have affected the other two teams negatively though.

Yeah, my assumption is there is a huge chain of events that would result from swapping those that would make the whole thing fall apart.

Looks the same for A&M

(26) 4 SEC home games + ASU
(27) 5 SEC home games
(28) 4 SEC home games + Louisville
(29) 5 Sec home games

Ole Miss
(26) 5 SEC home games
(27) 4 SEC home games + Oregon St?
(28) 5 SEC home games
(29) 4 SEC home games + ??

Have you looked at the 2027 home schedule? It’s pathetic.

You know who else we played every year? Alabama,Florida and Auburn. Games that season ticket holders look forward to every year. A&M just doesn’t compare. Anyone woh says lsu won the lottery and has an easy draw are a bunch of cowards.

We also played Kentucky and Rice all the time. Are they our rivals too?

We still play every SEC team every 2 years. People need to chill out, we got a great draw.

Look at how bad the 2027 home schedule is. This sucks for season ticket holders.

So many fans on here just started paying attention to LSU when Saban was here. That glory, combined with him ending up at Bama, combined with the fact that both of those teams were very very good during that time period leads them to believe LSU vs Bama is some kind of sacred rivalry.

Alabama is our 4th most played team all time, we are 3 for them
(Florida is 5th, we are 4 for them)

It feels like you are downplaying a lot of history

that game was pretty big when Nick Saban was unknown DB coach for the Oilers.
it may not have had the National appeal it does now, but don't kid yourself into thinking that game just started mattering for LSU and Alabama.

This year we have Florida, South Carolina, A&M, Arkansas. I’d take 2027 home SEC games over that.

Not playing Alabama and Florida every year is just stupid. We only get to see them in tiger stadium every four years.
