The ball literally hit him in the chest. Great pass

Mett was great! Went through his progressions and knew who was open!

I don't think that pass was underthrown. He made sure not to overthrow the pass because Boone was so wide open.
No reason to hit him in stride on that one.

It was a perfect throw.
Not a catch.
As another poster said though, I really didn't even care about the drop. It's kind of expected with Shep at this point.
So my excitement for the patience and throw by Mett far exceeded my disappointment in the drop.

Something like that. Mett is very, very good. If he continues to improve, wow. The running game is so dominant, which will keep pressure off of Mett and will allow him to further improve.
The offense has the potential to be "running on a greased rail" type of good.

I actually thought Shepards drop call on the touchdown was a bad call. If you look at the replay, he did catch it, and when he hit the ground he fumbled. Thought the ground couldn't cause a fumble?...

According to his stats he was 11/17 192 yds and 1td
And according to stats we had 5 drops (one for a TD)
So he could have been 16/17 with probably 240 ish yds and 2 td's

They have to complete the catch especially in the endzone

I believe, in fact, Shep held onto it for what should have been called a touchdown. Doesn't matter what happens to the ball after he's down.
me too. in a game like that the refs don't want to slo the game down and replay it. miles would have raised hell if it had been against arky or bama.

On another note, Mett looked like favre with that little scramble pass. Our previous attempt at that was thrown right to a linebacker.
