I graduated LSU in 1977. I saw Bama embarass us in Legion Field in 1974. There is no game that we want as much as this one. The ghost of Charlie Mac wants revenge on the ghost of the Bear. It's personal.

Was it Tony Nathan who returned a punt for a TD? Some drunk Bana guy told us Banks high school would have beaten us.

79 graduate....What I hated more was the arrogance of those fricking fans but I dont think that has changed much. We went to breakfast after a loss in Baton Rouge, I had something LSU on and a table full of those inbred assholes started up with Oh look, they aren't afraid to show there face in public.

It got ugly from there.

If you graduated in 1977, that means you were born around 1955, making you 60 years old. Calling yourself middle aged is a tad optimistic.

[show]Scoring summary

After their victory over Mississippi State, Alabama moved into the No. 3 position in the AP Poll prior to their nationally televised game against LSU.[38] With their 30–0 victory over the rival Tigers, the Crimson Tide secured both a share of the 1974 conference championship and a place in the Orange Bowl.[5][36][37]

Alabama took a 7–0 first quarter lead behind a one-yard Calvin Culliver touchdown run. They extended it further to 23–0 at halftime after points were scored on a 20-yard Danny Ridgeway field goal, a 29-yard Ricky Davis fumble return and on a three-yard Richard Todd touchdown run.[36][37] After a scoreless third, the Crimson Tide closed with a two-yard Jack O'Rear touchdown run in the fourth for the 30–0 win.[36][37] For their performances, Willie Shelby was recognized as the SEC Back of the Week and Leroy Cook was recognized as the SEC Lineman of the Week.[39] The victory improved Alabama's all-time record against LSU to 24–10–4.[40]

You are a tool sir......this day & age 60 is considered middle age.....It's not to be taken literally as in I'm thinking I'll live to 120

Sometimes the arse clowns on this board just make me SMH. If you were just being sarcastic, then good one

I was at the 1982 game at Legion Field sitting on the 50 yard line sporting a purple and gold striped rugby shirt in a sea of red. We broke an 11 year losing streak at that game. We survived by sharing the contents of our flask with people sitting around us! Jack is a great equalizer...but I do remember being nervous the whole game!

Is it too late to come in and say you are wayyy beyond middle aged?

Here I am at 40 thinking I may be able to relate.

Middle Aged means 40 something to about 60 or 65. So, us older members of Gen X qualify!! Student from '88 to '92. Was in T-town when we beat them the first time there (all previous wins were at old Legion Field or in Mobile) in '88. Then it was all bad news until '93 with the When Pigs Fly game.

I was at that game - senior in law school. Age 74 and I have at least a couple of more years as middle aged.

I believe I remember this game. If it was the one when we were trying to run a veer offense without a veer qb, and Carl Otis Trimble while running the option pitched it to an Alabama player in our backfield. Bama won 30-0, if it's the game I'm thinking of.
