It has nothing to do with building Alabama’s resume. ESPN is doing everything within reason to push ratings.

What should we be ranked considering we just beat #11 by 25 points. This isn’t a computer anymore. The committee is aware teams get better along the way and we lost our first game as a brand new team and coaching staff to a team who played a week sooner. We beat FSU by 30 today. Or other lone loss is #1 ranked Tennessee

Doesn't have anything to do with building a resume. I could see it being able ratings though. However, if you look at the other 1 loss teams we are behind, it's obvious we should have that ranking. Nobody would bet Illinois, UNC, UCLA, and Ole Miss over LSU. At that point, they'd be ranked higher purely over having weaker schedules. That FSU fluke win people aren't even holding it against us. If yall watch any media, it's pretty much said without saying it.
