So because if a player has certain measurable, he's automatically compared to so so. Is that the logic of people these days?

"oh he's 6'1 220lb runningback, he's the next Adrian Peterson."

STOP IT.

I just dont see how you can look at Yeldon's play in 2012 and come to the conclusion that he isnt the number 1 or 2 RB in the SEC this year. The guy has it all.

If u don't think Hill is at the top in running backs in the Nation, then u don't watch much football.

All I knoiw is that if we get consistently decent blocking up front, these guys are going to tear it up this season because both are NFL quality backs.

Yeldon plays in a competent offensive scheme.

Hill plays in an offense that insistently runs against a 9 man front. Hill has performed remarkable considering every defense we face knows how to stop us.

Ive already stated in this thread that Hill is a top RB in the nation.

And competant scheme? Seriously? There are certainly players that you can say put up good numbers because of the scheme they play in, but Yeldon is definitely not one of them. That is laughable.

Yeldon and Hill are fantastic. Blue is pretty good.

imo Gurley was the top back and still is. Unlike Bama Georgia's oline was an experiment all year. Bama had a big road grater line similar to Wisconsin, that backs have been flourishing under for years. Half of Hill's line were freshman and he came close to 800yds in 8 games with 12 tds. Hill and Yeldon are 2a and 2b right now.

No I'm trying to make the point that Blue is not just a east east/west back who is only good against weak competition only. Blue has leveled as many people as Hill and can run straight up the gut like Hill does.

He Blue reminds me of Demarco Murray in college with the same speed, strength, and durability issues. Beyond that he is the most complete back based on blocking, receiving, running inside and outside. Hill is identical in the latter two categories but not blocking and receiving.

Hill's durability and shiftiness for a big back(better than Blue's) is what make him so elite. I do believe Hill will have the better season but it's tough to tell who will be at the top of each statistical category.

First of all you have no business on this thread as the title doesn't even mention your team or players.

Secondly, Hill is better than Lacy and equal to, or better than Yeldon. It was obvious to me Yeldon was better than Lacy in the Michigan game last year. Also, take Hill and put him on Bama where he can run behind a line that never gets called for holding and see how he does.

As long as both Yeldon and Hill do not suffer injury Hill will be a better pro.

No - I didn't say Yeldon is only good because of scheme.

I'm saying Hill would have been more impressive if he played in a better scheme. LSU ran straight into 8, 9, sometimes 10 in the box.

Hill would have much better stats if he played on an offense that had even a somewhat functional passing game.

You're only an LSU board touting Bama players, that's how.

Yeldon is a pretty special back. Bama may not have gone to the title game without him (may not have beat LSU without him, even).

Hill is tremendous too.

Both are great, great players. I think Yeldon is a little more explosive overall, but Hill runs with a little more natural power. They are easily the top 2 backs in the league next year.
