For laughs, who do you think would do better than Godfrey?

Scivicque? KRob?

Nah,I probably should have posed that as a question instead of a statement.Feeling a lil silly now thanks to you, appreciate it. Middle relief has really been the ? as of late.

I was high on Reynolds before his injury and thought he was impressive Tues.

Reynolds does not have the talent of Godfrey. Bain would be the only one I'd consider giving a chance to right now, and I don't think Godfrey deserves that yet. He has pitched well almost every time out. Just blew up last week.

You leave the lineup as is right now. In the regional you pitch...

Game 1: Lange (7), Person (1), Stallings (1)
Game 2: Poche (5), Newman (3), Stallings (1)
Game 3: Godfrey (5 on short leash), Bain (3), Wholestaff to close
Game 4 (if necessary): Norman, Reynolds, Bugg, then Wholestaff

In the CWS you never have to go past that Game 3 lineup if you keep winnng. This assumes no Latz, but I think he plays a strong 20 pitch role in a couple of key spots.

Also, Bouman or Cartwright could return to form. This staff is in a lot better shape than most people realize.

So you think we'll be a 3 seed in the regional?

That's the only way Godfrey doesn't pitch the first game.

I think Vandy might have us currently beat there, but a couple more like Lange, and we're well on our way.

I'll take "duh" for 500, Alex.

He's better at this point than Gausman and Nola were. Nola wasn't even that good freshman year. He was good for a freshman but he didn't look like Gausman or Lange.
