There were once people arguing with me here that he wouldn't make enough money playing baseball to support him for the remainder of his life, because he wasn't THAT good.

Names please!
He works too hard, plays too hard, and is better than people give him credit for to become a loser.

He’s hitting in the derby, too

Better pro player than college player, thats why people said that.

Crazy how much power he’s hitting for now. We never saw it like that at LSU

He doesn't have names. oOoLsUtIgErSGoOober just likes stroking himself.

Guess there are more FBG's in Houston than there were in BR.

You say this almost like he wasn't that good in college either. Bregman was one of, if not the most polished hitter we've had the last 20 years He's also one of the most decorated LSU players in history. Not to mention the #2 overall draft pick. Regardless of their reasoning, saying, at that time, that he was essentially overrated was ignorant. The only real difference now is the power, but he's said himself he was coached not to try to lift the ball in college, not that he didn't have the ability to hit more home runs. He started hitting more home runs immediately once he started playing professional baseball. The dude hit 20 home runs in 80 minor league games in 2016, less than a year removed from playing college baseball.

Also...
He is in the Home Run derby.
When was the last former LSU player to compete in the Derby?

Just playing devils advocate, because I’m in the same camp as you are in regards to Bregs, but he went through a lot of bad slumps while at LSU during very inopportune times.
Since getting to the majors I can really only think of one time where he was in as bad a slump as a pro as he was in college and that was the beginning of this season. He’s been an great MLB representative.

Yep that's totally it. It is certainly not that I don't memorize usernames from every dumb arse post on here.
Wanna know something funny though. Your name stands out as one of the ones I do remember for being an idiotic poster. How about that?

Gotta be Albert Belle. Maybe Brad Hawpe, but that would be merely a guess.

Not a knock on him, but I think people thought he was going to be a .350+ hitter with 15 HR/year and that just never happened
He never led any LSU team in batting average or homeruns either
